I used to wake up every morning,
With life's mascot at my feet,
He'd lick the frown right off my face,
And joyous words his eyes would speak,

For they were like two windows,
From which I could not hide,
And every time he looked at me,
Light made its way inside,

Each day was new and full of wonder,
Every thread of grass was his,
He had the world inside a ball,
And to chase it was pure bliss,

Oh sweet and playful days,
Memories I recall,
I wonder if he misses them,
Or remembers them at all,

For the morning's generosity,
Has finally run dry,
Warm and sunny afternoons,
Have become the cruelest time,

The food his nose once blindly followed,
Now rots before his sight,
There is no pain in hunger,
Without an appetite for life,

Sometimes I'll look into his eyes,
For a glimmer of rebirth,
Just to see them fading slowly,
Like the paw prints in the dirt,

Surely he must know it,
In every aching bone,
As he crawls into the corner,
And lies there all alone,

Gone are the endless days,
Of chasing rabbits in the hedge,
No matter what the game is,
Life's a stick he will not fetch,

Oh brother to my soul,
Not even a goodbye?
When there's no more life to live,
The dogs know how to die.

I was plugging your woman,
            see she was the socket,

And I was the one that gave
          Her the charge.
She was the amp, I was the watt..
Arching her back,
like I'd electrocuted the g spot.

You were a one use battery,
         dead on the first use.

I'll recharge her when you at work,
               earning the bread.
But I'm buttering her with my tongue..
                                       spreading it even.

She needs you.

            Wants me.

The reason that you don't
                   have a florescent
             bulb in your bedroom.
It would be like shooting stars
                         across the sky.

I'm the javelin thrower,
   you the tap drip,
            drip,
dripping in the bedroom.

A Rottweiler growing, you the poodle.
                                      But don't worry,
not here to ruin you bro.

Just to ruin her wet spot,
                    And I'm already thirsty.

I've doubted your passion towards me in the past
my faith in the past
my faith in our permanence was dwindling fast
But as days go by,
you drift closer to me
and it's easier to see
how compassionate you truly can be
I'd don't want to have your babies
I'd don't want to get married
but I could see getting a dog with you
maybe
just
maybe
I found this poem. I wrote it this summer in a notebook I bought just to wrote it into. I loved that **** individual. But we have gone our own ways, and he never knew I wrote poems about things like this.
The snow has come and the crazy is just begining,
My head races for fresh air as the shelters of our cold and lonesome homes lock us away,

Was there ever a point when the cold did not bring such lost wanderers?

Sorrow grows without the frequent smile or hello of the sun,
Our faces hidden in grimace behind the fabrics and fogged glasses,

When did we become so distant?

Fires should be lit on every corner,
A revel of strangers joined in peace calling for company of those passing by,

Why do we avoid the connection that we yearn for so much?

We are all okay until we say we are not, but what we say does not always come out how we want.
Hey everyone just wanted to remind you that even without knowing you or seeing you, I love you and even the worst of our thoughts don't out weigh those around you.

Your unconditional love,
Awestruck gaze,
Your comforting presence,
Snuggling in bed,
Showed I matter,
Showed you care.

Yes its you my love,
My four-legged friend
With his wagging tail.
To my dogs a.k.a. heartbeats- Elmo & Simba.
I'm grateful to my fate, that brought me the opportunity to be loved by the purest souls on earth.

Tonight, this **** dog
Keeps farting himself awake.
Sleep seems quite futile.
I am truly impressed by my darling dog’s ability to rouse not only me but also himself with his own perfumes. Rescue alumni rule.
