Blood for ink
As I seal your fate
A deadly pandemic
Will lead you astray
Bullets and politics
Won’t prevail
The strongest survive
While the weaklings fade.

Slowly but surely
I’ll take back what’s mine
Two thousand years
And a thousand designs
For vengeance, for justice,
Cold and cruel
A mother’s justice
Tough love- fuelled.

Warnings were spurned
Not once or twice
Greed and Envy
Took root in a trice
Beware, beware,
I surmise
That our cries and sighs
Will be our final goodbyes.
I felt
The angel of death had drawn neigh
Me untimely to hug
With COVID-19 positive tag
When a nurse and a police
Ventured to a quarantine me to drag.

Regretfully, the leniency "No!
The pandemic me will not mark
To me, there and then, became stark."

After I underwent
A gruesome psychological  and
Languishing physical moment
Estranged from my dear children
And loving wife
Health professionals, backed by
A responsible government
And  doting society,
Nursed me back to life.

"Cling to life
As blooms yellow loosestrife.
Our health is fine
Soon the same will be true with thine!"
Was what I read from the eyes of
The recuperated,
Allowed to leave the quarantine.
To me such clicks brought to light
On the channel's end
The presence of rays bright.

So as the recuperated
My advice
Is "Pay not unnecessary price!
True to
'Prevention  is better than cure!'
In Covid-19' era
Reckless endangerment
Must not you lure!"
After hearing  an interviewee on Ethiopian Television Today. He and many others were leaving a quarantine after treatment. There is hope.

The Invisible enemy
Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide, the invisible enemy you have attacked 2020 world-wide taking lives nonstop...

What I'll tell my kids not that I'm a storyteller but what I'll tell my kids and future generations about you, I can't see you, you kept us (people) apart, no more touching, no more kisses, no more hugging, they call you covid-19 I call you the invisible enemy...

What to tell my kids about you? You are bad but I guess I won't tell my kids a bad story...
I'll tell them how God protect us (the alive) and how He safe the gone souls (the death)...

The invisible enemy I can't see you, attacking 2020 careless but you won't last forever and 2020 you won't come back, sorry 2020 it wasn't your fault its covid-19 without control 😭

4 Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought His troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!
-Isaiah 53:4 (NLT)

- Isaiah 53 4 (NKJV)
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Contagion condition like it were tradition
Thus it was said, and so it were written
The dress code was formal
To dance the new normal
Keep a mask in the glovebox
Keep askin' love faux
Implore a two meter distance
No change we
Ignore the meter's insistance
Rearrange me
We sanitize our surfaces
Resurface to sanity
City slickers, one punch
Clean up the vanity
City sick, bad lunch
Team up; Insanity

Verse 1
Drowning deep in their stupidity
Blinded, your servants they heed
(Will they give n2 u?)
There's nothing left of their human side
They're slowly changing their minds
(Will they give n2 u?)
Reflecting on all their mistakes
When there's nothing they can do!
Suddenly it all changes!
Owww!
It's the point of no return
U've awaken the monster in us!

Chorus
Scrub up, do not come down with the Co-vid
Scrub up, do not come down with the Co-vid
Scrub up, do not come down with the Co-vid
Wash your hands with soap, and hot water for 3 mins.
Scrub up, do not come down with the Co-vid
U brainless get up, scrub up do not come down with the Co-vid
U mindless get up, scrub up do not come down with the Co-vid
Co-vid is the curse that has been given to us

Verse 2
I can see it in u, the sickness inside u
Don't try to deny what u know
(Will u give in to sin?)
Its all fake, the good has died in u
And is decomposing now
(Will u give in to sin?)
It seems some r having problems
In believing the media
Living w/ their new lives (oh no)
The world is a quiet place
Now that we r all prisoners locked up inside

Post chorus
And n nightmares!
And n nightmares!
And n nightmares!
And n nightmares!

Bridge
We promise we won't do it again
Won't do it again
We all will be good
We all will be good, we promise
Not one more day!

We all got so used to wearing so many different masks,
that we quite forgot about the literal one, well, until now
InkHarted Jun 2020
within the grit of the gentle white
buried within the ***** of the roots
lay life between its silent slumber
while the outward burns to frost-ly breath
all the buds lay in cozy sleep
some think that Tis time to outshine
while the rabbits lay burdened to sleep
and bud and bloom midwinter too soon
their jealousy their end their doom.
as time makes brittle corpses of the children of sin
when the sun melts through the dense white reality
The well-rested princes and princess do rise
sometimes taking time and being patient gives rise to the opportunity.
do not try to outshine by being the first. be an equal and share the glory.
