When so amazed - listen intently
Far night echoes,
That stillness wonders you,
Which everything embraces:
Collect itself in its silence,
Like you can’t possess yourself.
And get in one grasp -
In the ray which illuminates the tree,
In the stone’s accomplished shape,
In the unity…

Which everything embraces
By the Light……………….

I would like to
Build up
Pyramids of sounds,
Sylvan corridors of
Golden cork pines - where
Spats of the sun
And single rays
In the spider’s web,
And further artificial gardens
Of coniferous scent of the resin.
Touch the cloud on the forest pond,
Taste of cherry on your lips………

Wait!
How many senses?
Five?

It is time for Meditation.
Take a deep Breath……

For Emil Varda
Spots we dwell
For while,

People we meet
On the Way...

Call from Unknown
Is a milestone.

The world is a pair
Of wings - to unfold,
The world might be heavy stone.

You always have to have an answer
To every why and every what
Its like a rotting horrid cancer
That eats your inner trust

Time to slow the pace and let down your sails to drift
Stop talking and just hear your life
To listen is a gift

Don't just listen with your ears but with your entire being
Because only when you soak it up will everything have meaning
Everyone thinks that talking is a skill. That writing,  singing, and exclaiming is a skill. These surely are wonderful gifts. But to listen with all you have, in every way, not just with your ears but with you entire being; that takes effort.  And the rewards are indescribable.

There is so much time spent being a reservoir
A holder of the things they want us to cherish
A tribe defined by what we hold in common
Yet our differences breathe life into our individuality
I don’t know if it is that I need a passenger
Should it be my destiny to explain guide or suggest
When it is that I prefer no past
And no future
Not because of shame or death
But because these things cause discomfort
It is instead a life of calm that I seek
As it is walking with nature or the animals we care for
I can only ask if you want to fall in love
Or if there is a word that would describe me
I hope it is honor
And truth
I don’t know how it is we can agree not to be perfect
We have such a precise expectations for our life
Would it be better not to watch through a moving window
Instead we could be a part of what it is we seek
Or create it for ourselves
If only we knew how

If you're trying
to open
someone's mind
Consider
whether or not
They want their minds to be opened

After all
One cannot open a door
that's locked from the inside.
A fhought that hits my head

Some birds are blue
Carry the sky
Earthwards

Ground birds nest
In bushes
Bursting like sun

Water birds
Swim to what is there
Always reaching

An eagle is like wind
Never chasing
Simply lofted

Crows are busy
So like tribulations
Spots of wind

A swan knows
Water will carry
As water in cloud

Some birds are dressed
Forthright on earth
The wren, the robin or quail

Each bird is dream
Miracles for us to see
Feathers fall from heaven

They strung me up.
Not by the neck,
that would be
too quick.

No.
They intended
a slow torture for me,
bound one foot,
bound my arms.

I heard a voice:
Escape is possible
if you want it.

And I was alone.

At first I struggled.
Swayed back and forth
from the wind, and the weather and the
pain,
to no avail.

But eventually,
I learnt to just

Stop.

If this was my life,
So be it.
I was not going to provide
a show of my misery
to any God.

I saved my energy,
learnt to live with seeing the world
pass me by,
learnt to see things
from a different perspective.

Torture?
This was nice,
relaxing even,
I could hardly feel the pain,
could block it out
almost entirely.

Perhaps this is what I wanted
all along -
an eternal break.

Fool that I was,
I failed to realize
the torture was not physical
but mental.

Slowly I grew bored
in contemplation,
in limbo,
in apathy,
in atrophy.

I remembered the voice:
escape is possible,
I remembered
everything I wanted to do
everything I still yearned to do.

All the beauty and the goodness
and the possibilities of Life
made me ache,
and I could not block it out.

Suddenly I saw:
this was not torture
but a test.

My time of suspension is up,
These are but ropes,
not chains.

I know the way out,
and I am not afraid.

There is work to be done.
