where I am

do I become

will I ever be
what others are

(or think themeselves to be)

Maybe
those who appear so sure
   of what and where they are
have at their backs
the everlasting fear
that when they are
   where they have liked to be
there always are
the others who were there
   some time before
and now
are somewhere else
happy again
that they are
where and what
others still struggle to become

Methinks
to be where I am
suits me fine
I do not care exactly
where
this is
if only I still see
a chance that I become
that is  
            I change
and not just be

There is
it seems to me
too little space
between to be
and
not to be.

i sit on top of the world

it took me a while to get there
but the view alone is worth it

seeing all that is below
all i have overcome
and looking back to where i started

i breathe deeply
with the sun beaming down on me
my hair whipping around my face
the cold wind makes me new

i take one last look before descending
remembering
but knowing
that i will be on top at least once more

I'm struck by the weight of my own body.

I'm so tangible... so breakable...

small and weak,
yet tall and strong. I can be anything.

If I weren't here, this tree still would be. Magnificent as nature itself. Yet it's glad I came by this afternoon, this I know.

I stare at the bark, and it seems to pry past my eyes and into my soul, saying "yes, this is real."

I am real.

And I'm so pleased to be so.

Although I don´t know if I can get there
I might step on the wrong twig
I might me be a little to short to reach the next

These furry creatures
Climb and climb making it hard
To see their features
