listen
let your heart hear
let your heart speak
don't go it alone
the pain is unbearable
but with the heart
love knows no bounds

Given the gift of giving life forgiveness, always keeps giving.
My 10-word poem, and than the purest silence.

You’d wake up before sunrise
because you said you couldn’t sleep.
Not that you liked watching outside
nor the light creep,
and you certainly were't interested
in watching the earth bloom.
There was nothing magnificent enough out there
nor in the bedroom.
You couldn't speak to me; said it was too early.
"There's no place like home."
"I've got to get out of here."
You swore to yourself you'd be gone
by the end of the year.
So yes, it's my fault, I can't be what you need.
I can't compare to the beauty of what your reality seeks.
Then I guess i'm not meant for you;
I'm not your friend
your addiction
nor as strong as your ****.
The sky was inadequate
without the stars;
nothing compared to the way they gleam.
But you’d say that I’m the one
with no dreams.
You don't know where you're at
where you're headed or how far.
No matter how apart we are
and how high is the view.
You can still count on me
And I hope to still count on you.
Good luck.
It was late into that viscious seasonal transition
with sticky heat grating at the loose barricades
the confused masses put up around
patterns of docile thought.

I remember entire cities
churning out their leaders as children
and dressing our most vulnerable
up for combat.

I remember each first moment
when another person knew
how painful it was
to just have it all happen.

The sweet sting of a tireless wind
at least taught us what momentum existed,
but never how to resist the pull
and claim it as our own.

Whatever took us kept us
up until the very end,
and we expected to wake up
panting, embracing a new land.

And then the storm stopped
and the eyelids pried open
against the settling dust
that encapulated the chaos.

Nothing was harmed and no one was moved
and the waters reclaimed a normal flow
but they all just sat with nowhere to go
in shock that their, "right here" hadn't changed.

Not right here
nor the now
nor the us
nor any "them".

We sweet human creatures
are built to seek shelter
to make it grow
into tragic stagnance.

If he doesn't agree with you, he doesn't say so directly. He passive-aggressively asks you questions hinting at his opinion. Then he acts like he's superior since all he does is ask questions.

"It's always that easy. The problem is, you don't want to bury it."*

Lock it away, seal the case,
never let it surface or touch your face,
a simple caress, a broken sigh,
it's about time you've said goodbye.

A memory pressed against my cheeks,
I haven't  heard from him in weeks,
it throbs, it hurts, it makes me cry,
why won't this incessant feeling die?

Living, breathing, beating soul,
why must you hurt me so?
Please rid me of this tattered heart,
mend me, lest I fall apart.

Burn it, ban it, **** it now,
these feelings you must disavow,
with fragile lips you kiss farewell,
may these pains part ways from me in Hell.
Shout out to CR for the inspiration. I appreciate the talk we had.
(He's the one quoted at the top of the poem.)
