Girl Anachronism
From dark we come, to dark we go,
In dark we often stay;
In dark we think, in dark we know
As night is born from day.

In dark, in dark I sleep and wake
And though it runs me through,
This darkness cannot overtake
The light I see in you.

She's an alphabet artist
she paints in words,

from a palette of adjectives,
nouns and verbs,

the landscape she finds
in the folds of her mind

she exhibits in volumes of verse.

Thoughts of you
Makes me dance
To the rhythm
Of your heart beat

Miss Dan
Your lips -dry,
Same as how our conversations went.
All lacking basis,
just another insensible argument.

Your skin -cold,
Is this why you seem quite indifferent?
The way you stare,
There's no more sense of excitement.

Your pulse -fast.
It pounds rapidly as though on a race.
Until we grew apart,
'Cause I can no longer keep your pace.

Your status -confused.
And the severe water loss caused lethargy.
Our prognosis?
Poor. For this story ends in tragedy.

Destructive as earthquake,
Devastating as death;
It is hard to wake,
Trapped and out of breath.

Immediately broken
Like a heart of glass;
Left alone frozen,
Thwarted to pass.

He left her out
And put her heart away.
Baffled with doubt,
She didn’t stay.

She sealed herself
So she can’t be found.
Lost trust itself,
Not even a sound.

Then comes the light
Out of nowhere;
Filled with fright,
She then crept to stare.
My cry of total shut down. Yep, my dark side a.k.a. social suicide. But this one's written more than 4 years ago anyway.

Leap.

Do not fear the leap
The leap into the unknown

Not everything stays unknown
Not everything unknown is scary

Sometimes you have to make the leap alone
Sometimes it's into the darkness

You have to muster the courage to do it
Not everything stays dark forever

Do not fear what will happen after  the leap
Fear what will happen if you don't take the leap at all

The written word
Should help us heal
All it does is hurt
By stating what we feel

It's confusing, reading scribbles
Knowing the authors heart
Realizing it means nothing
Typing your soul apart

The ink splashed on paper
Not really meaning a thing
Just random rants
About absolutely nothing

Expressing your heart
Exposing your pain
To the cruelness of people
With nothing to gain

But hurting your soul
And bruising your mind
Someone who expresses truth
Is way too hard to find

In this blank world
Where feelings are condemned
Tears are weakness
It's just better to pretend
