if you would do anything for that someone
and never ask for a thing in return.
if you’re starting to love their flaws,
including them in your prayers
and fall for them even more
every time you look into their eyes.
if you are more yourself when with them
than you are with anybody else.
if you’re willing to wait
no matter how long it would take.
if you keep on thinking of them,
if you care for them
and if you won’t do anything
that would hurt them
as much as you could.
if you can see yourself
growing old with that person
and put their happiness before yours,
if you are willing to sacrifice everything
just to be with them,
to make them happy,
even if that very thing is life,
**you’re in love.

yesterday has come and gone
it's getting harder to stay strong
every action, I have owned
every right and every wrong

tomorrow isn't a promise made
and yesterday cannot be saved
another sunset, I watch fade
another day closer to the grave

Yanamari
When you entrust someone with something,
anything,
personal...
What hurts most is
When they use that part of you to strike you,
As if it hadn't hurt you enough already.

When you tell a person something,
anything,
personal...
Expecting them to understand and
Help you
What hurts most is
When they hear it all and don't understand

When you are confused about something,
anything
personal...
Confused so much that it hurts,
And you feel like you need to tell someone,
What hurts most is
Holding it in

What has the potential to hurt most is what you decide for yourself.
He was the one person
who held storms in his fingertips,
and still touched you with the softness
of rain in springtime.
But you only felt thunder.
just because
it doesn't leave
a single line
doesn't mean
it's not a poem

just because
it doesn't rhyme
doesn't mean
you're not a poet

because a poem
is not merely
about the style
but solely
about the soul

Ocean Blue
A desert between us?
Only in your dreams.
Your longing?
Reciprocal, it seems.
Your heart ache?
Nothing compared to mine.
My promises?
Rare and always held.
Your smile?
Bright sunray
Throughout my day.
Your heart beats?
My earthquakes.
Your verses,
Daily narcotics.
My horizon?
Just to love you,
On and on.
The way you hold his hand I
Look down at mine and I
              Know you could never
                       Hold my hand that way.

You chose to love him over me
Breaking my heart yet another time
Bleeding me out for another rhyme
But no, I'm just raging in jealousy.

We are so compatible
       You and
              I.

But again, again, and again;
You don't see how true I am for you,
How much I have dedicated myself for you,
All the sacrifice I make for you.

Perhaps love is, indeed, blind.
