The length of the silk fabric.
does not determine the quality.
It may be long,
or it may be shot.

So when you ask me about
the length of my poems
my answer will be
that I want to enjoy every word,
feel every sentence and
appreciate all of the fabric.

Rework and add-on.
Tomorrow will be today
Today will be yesterday

That one yesterday I
promised to get work
done!

Quills in the inkpot
Papers scattered but
they're ready

But I put it off for tomorrow
                                           tomorrow
                                tomorrow
                                        tomorrow

The same tomorrow of today
when today is yesterday

It's become my art form
Wasting time for tomorrow,
the thief!

The thought is so daunting
Ever so daunting

Of a piece of my work
that is left unfinished
Procrastination...
It's so easy to get into.
I've put so much of my work on hold because of it.
One excuse becomes a thousand and what I wanted to do rarely gets done.
Happens to the best of us!

Be back soon!

I walk to my desk
With plans to compose a symphony of words
Grandiose words with which
To paint the space before me
But, I cannot
Something pulls at me
I look at this piece of paper
It blinds me
I need to fill the emptiness with something
Anything to allow me clarity
Something to contrast this dull void

Finally

A word appears in my head
Like a surfaced piece of a driftwood
Floating amidst a sea of thoughts
I close my eyes and write
A warmth permeates the air
I open my eyes to see what brought this change

It was your name

The paper was in the shape of a heart
I think the paper is my world
Empty and devoid of life
Until something meaningful is added
That something is you
You fill the void in my heart
My paper heart
Resting the mind is not easy
it dances like a sparrow
and speaks like a babbler
seeking the minutest grain
from the jungle of weeds
tweeting what it has to say
from one perch to the other
in all weather.

Then the aching wings falling slow
by the cold north wind
find no worth in the haste
seek a rest
perching upon some heart.

When unbroken silence is all it has
the mind rests easy in peace.

When the world falls down
And you're stuck on the cold, hard ground
The rain will wash away your tears

When the smoke fogs your eyes
And you're stuck with only lies
The lightning will show you a will of hope

When you're out in the cold, feeling nothing
but sold
The thunder will wake you up and let you feel
gold

Arke
gold pours from your lips
tracing the edges of my hips
I count every star on your chest
diamonds dance along your sides
your broken french, silk
wrapping me to you, tied
us both together, tighter

lapis irises look at me
clear as the sunset sea
your body whispers
together we could form
obsidium and hauyne
our core is fire
we'll be together again

we had forgotten this feeling
primal and both healing
thunderstorms begin within me
our meeting surely kismet
certain as the rise of our moon
a volcano becomes active
I yearn to be with you soon
Is it true?
You snooze my electric rooster
Brim my coffee cup
Blossom that chestnut tree
Invite doves to my window lane
Is it true?
You garnish solace in my breakfast
Giggle with me hand in hand
Hail the cab rampageously
Pour love beyond edge
Is it really true?
You enlighten my morning moans
Unseen and unrecognized
Every adored embellished morning
The blades of grass bear the aroma
You wade in my nose
Down to mouth and stretch my lips tenderly
I wake up today..tomorrow
With a blushing grin
Is it as clear as sea water
That you waded, wiped seas of brine fluid
In the seas of my eyes??
I found a pearl in the
ocean, where I drown
my sorrows, it reminded
me of us.

You-
white lace and pearls
draped your wedding
gown and a scarlet
veil covered your face,

Me-
a shiny suit
of armor tarnished
with kinks of flesh.

We-
cut ourselves
with our emotional
knives,

the love burned hot-
so hot, it burned
down our lives.

I threw the pearl
back.
