Broken
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
I came out as broken glass
Not a bottle, not a window, just glass
And I was told I was Broken.
But what if this is what I am?
I'm sharp and cut, and my pieces get broken smaller,
But that's what I am.
Broken.

Catching Air
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
Wake me up before you go
My dreams they speak to much
I kissed you on the lips last night
The wind was in my clutch
Like catching air
Or sleeping fine
My mind begins to melts
All I felt inside my chest
Was love, and nothing else.

Refuse To Lose
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
I relapsed last night
As the knife met my skin
and introduced itself
Over and over again.

I'm disappointed with myself
I shouldn't harm my skin
I'm losing every battle
Because I refuse to win.

Your Pillow
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
I am your pillow underneath your head,
Where you scream all your nasty thoughts when,
You are mad.
Or where your blood shot eyes,
release their lonely tears when,
You are sad.

I am your pillow
I can hear you speak
When you whisper
All your deepest thoughts
Into Me.

The Flame
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
The fire screams upon my skin
and my mouth begins to turn.
I want to feel something else
even just a burn.

Blue
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
Speak to me softly
And tell me only lies
Tell me that you hate me
That I'm not worth your time.

You tell me that you love me
You tell me words so true
I look at you with hollow eyes
The saddest shade of blue.

Sleep
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
Sleep for me tonight
Because I can't do it myself
Shut your eyes and dream of me
I swear I'm in good health
You shut your eyes and fall asleep
And my eyelids begin to fall
The morning comes without a blink
And my name is all you call
But no, I'm not responding
My heart without a beat
You punch and kick, I won't wake up
Finally Sleep.

A Friend
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
Stab me in the heart again
To prove that I'm not alive.
Long ago the feelings stopped
And my emotions died.
No tears are cried
My eyes are dry.
I'm waiting for this to end.

I'm happy though enough to say.
That I had at least one friend.

Sing My Song
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
Let me give you my armor
Take my sword and shield
I'll be your knight in skin
With only my words to wield.
When the armors worn and broken
You can take my skin as well
Tattered, scarred and broken
But for you I wouldn't yell.
And with you every word
That you picked from my throat
Melted in your hands
And filled your empty cup.
You drank a part of me
My words upon your tongue
They trickled down your mouth
But your heart had already sung.
The tune of someone else
Your song it wasn't mine
My heart was already shattered
But it broke differently this time.

Silence
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
A flourish of your fingers
the words I had to read
my heart began to tumble
as you began to leave.

The breaking of my fingers
the words you never read
the times you didn't listen
to the words kept in my head.

The New Girl
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
"Be better then okay"
She said.
I want to be, I do
You break away the walls I made
Lets play a game of "Clue"
Put down the razor from your skin
I'll extinguish every flame
You and I are worlds apart
And yet we seem the same
Or maybe I see what I want
Because you make me feel alright
You lock me in with piercing eyes
The prettiest of sights.

Tape
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
Anxiety is building
My body starts to shake
Trying not to look
My brain it ******* aches
This heart is all I have now
It's all you have to break
My world begins to fall apart
Please buy a roll of tape.

Catch me
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
When the final leg falls out
There won't be any hope.
No ones here to hold you up
The catching of the rope.

I Didn't Die Last Night
Nicholas Morin Mar 2015
My eyes shut, then open.
We're in your room again.
Laughing. Talking.
You're looking at me.
With those eyes.
Those eyes.
Those.
Eyes.
They're beautiful.
I've never seen eyes like these.
They lock me in.
I can't look away.
I don't want to look away.
Then you say it.
" Do you want to kiss me? "
Of course.
It happens.
My lips meet yours.
I can feel your presence.
Warm on my skin.
My eyes were open, but open again.
I'm in bed.
And all I can think is.
I didn't die last night.
