Might there be a fountain
where souls long dead from thirst
find spirits raised to life in floods abounding free,
so that what once walked as corpse,
night-bound and blind, may see?
Old self exchanged for Treasure,
diving in tastes such rejuvenation
as can't be weighed by mortal measure—
wine unlike our earth-grown fruit whose petals fall,
from this Vine flowers the pleasantness of Love Divine
which bathes in healing waters all
who come as humble newborn with bold **** to dine.
"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'"  John 4:13-14

"Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.'"  John 6:35

"On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.'"  John 7:37-38

"'I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.'"  John 15:5

As the wind does blow
Through the trees in the forest
I hear your heart cry
My first Haiku, prompted to write this today! Enjoy :)

I arise in the morning
to a soft gentle dawn
All to worship and praise You
and to sing a new song
The leaves lightly play
in the soft summer breeze
And the birds are awaking
in Your beautiful trees

All creation is stirring,
and the darkness has passed
I gaze up at the sky so blue and so vast
I gaze up in wonder
at Your pink rolling hills
And I feel Your presence
and ask for Your will

The sun rises up in the palm of Your hand
And the light chases darkness
from the face of the land
I look 'round in great awe
and ask myself why?
Oh why would You do this
for a wretch such as i?

Clouds scuddle over
the skies where You bid
And the fish in the water
Go beneath and are hid
Vastly great is Your wisdom
so in part do we see...

I'll arise in the morning
You've given to me.

It's a beautiful morning here in Tucson. I love the dawn here in the springtime. The clouds are touched by gentle brushes of lavender, peach and light fuchsia.
The hills here roll like purple waves on a deep pond. As if it's been disturbed by angels.

God is SO good!

I'm going to be very busy this morning. There's a lot of work to be done in the house. I'm sure you know housework is an endless story told by a hausfrau who has a rather sadistic streak... I hate it! But it must be done.

Have a beautiful day! I hope this poem blesses your heart!
I am finished trying to draw water to satisfy my soul,
from holes that cannot quench my thirst.
I try to draw water from holes of different names.
From friends and family.
From the words and approval of men.
From temporal pleasures and materialism.
But they cannot quench the longing for Love
in my thirsty soul.
I am like the Woman at the Well.
Tired of going to holes that I think are wells.
Trying to draw water.
Walking away still thirsty.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Then...
My Saviour and the Lover of my soul
comes to me.
And I drink from Him.
My thirst is finally quenched,
and I will never be thirsty again.
For He is the Living Water.
He is not an empty hole which dries up,
sending me away still thirsty.
He is the Love which my parched soul needs.
He is...
the WELL.
Inspired by the Gospel of John 4:1-45.

Happynessa
Within the centre of your being
May you find peace
Every act of unconditional love
Echoes in eternity
Spread your wings and dance
Dreams into reality
If your situation  won't change
Then change yourself
The optimist is often as wrong
As the pessimist
But he is far far happier
Choose happiness
You never really know how strong you are until you're alone,
crying and forced to pick yourself up off the floor.
That is when you can truly see how big your emotional muscles are
and I promise
they are bigger than you ever thought possible.
Flex them.

Look in the mirror.
There’s a lot to celebrate.
That’s all I’m saying.
I wrote this about you.
My debut collection 'Otherness' is available to purchase now: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Otherness-Joelle-Owusu/dp/1535354585/
Listen, my son: the silence.
It's a rolling silence,
a silence
where valleys and echoes slip,
and it bends foreheads
down toward the ground.
