Failure

I tried to stop it once, but I failed.
I tried to dry them once, but I failed.
Because of you, I greatly failed.
And no worse a failure can be than I.

I have failed to stop my pen from
       continually bleeding your name.

*And I failed to dry these pages,
       soaked in thoughts of you.

Under the dead beat sky
Collaborations tie us all together
Our ideas cross and human gazes overlap
Streams flow into tiny veins that cover a certain surface area.

Red lights shine on profiled faces in the evening side of the night
Trainers shuffle along the uneven ground around town where signs are broken.
Cigarette smoke pours out of each corner of this run down station
Wrinkled looks despair over the dated flourescent timetables

Just waiting for the next train out of town
Just waiting for the next train out of town

Shove past my nearest man to get to the furthest conception
The long path to the nearest understanding of human nature
Is muddied with distasteful stories that couldnt hold any kind of weight Among us.

Zap Zap Zap
Electricity burns through the space between my eyes.
A tidal wave catches me under its wing and I am pounded into the bedrock.
****
There was talk of some buried treasure but sight so blinded by surface grit cannot seek it out

The gasps for air are getting more frequent which in turn causes the chest to run tight.
I cant see far out for my eyesight is bad.
Our wooden paddles are bashing against each other, leaving us sat stationary in the boat that we climbed in.

The drippings of water are still soaking my clothes, they persist time and time again.
The towel you grab is half soaked with your drench leaving half left over
to dry my eyes and warm my legs.

If we lose one paddle in the current, and I retire from my work and rest
Would you allow me to lean on your back as you guided us back to our island, our nest?

Misty gaze, jittered breath
Sun burned skin ironed to stop the creases.
The fly never ceases to change direction
it follows mightily close.
Boxed into a shadow, one which no one else can see
How can that be?
Claim the sights as mine or ours?
Leave to follow mans created hasty pursuit
Chasing the everlasting scent of the poisoned flower.

The big man has too many sayings, creates etchings with his words
Repeatedly lost in the background of distasteful play,
All numbers numerate to a phantom deal
Answers long slipped under broken tables.
Open fields are searched like space,
Meteors fly spitting fire with gunshots
Shining towards an illusion of a finish line.
Crawl westwards some will say, crawl right, or jump and hit the explosive beckoning.

Through the incredulity burning
in the grim reaper's eyes,
He unwillingly received the souls
of those who did not deserve to die
...

The bright fluids of life lay bare
and insignificant in the godforsaken lands
He sighed the heaviest breath he could muster
Death was his trade, but this affair had him
loosening his grip on the scythe
Mumbling the dead's prayer,
The half-living defied fate's ruthless threads
And squirmed for barren hope
A child nearby cries for the light to save him
As the shadows devoured their youngest feast, so far

Now standing alone, the reaper cursed the gods
Who may or may not be listening to him
He was disgusted with the greed of these people
And their bloodbaths
Where those who avoid death and the
ones who thrillingly seek it
Summon each other with empty excuses
Thinking these are enough to fling
their guns at the righteous
Drink the innocent blood like
the finest wine from their vineyards!
Stab the weak at their remaining spots
Oh how foolish they are!
How foolish indeed!

He pities those who speak death as their honor
When they have only lived like rats
Scavengers of chances that purifies
their filthy names
He scorns those who
do not even speak of death
In their wild belief that some curse
will hand them like a platter to their graves
When death is the end that no one ,
not even him, can escape
Those cowards!
No one lives to cheat that dark fate!
No one!

The reaper was provoked by humans
Them and their incessant wonder and fear of
That that is unknown
Them who have stopped looking
at their small, definite lives
To anticipate what they could not
even begin to understand
Feeding their illusions that a special place
awaits their petty souls to rest on
Ahhh!!!He was tired of them all

Might as well finish his job...
Idk what's with my idea of this grim reaper but he suddenly made a story inside my head. Will try to do Stories x Poetry just so I could have something different every once in a while. This is weird af but I guess I msis writing stories that I just came around doing this. i had mad fun though so all's square and fair

"We weren't nothing.
It wasn't puppy dog love or quick awkward kisses.
It was so much more than that.
Late night phone calls and tired giggling conversations.
Hugs so tight my broken pieces fight together for once.
Butterflies everytime you laughed.
Calling at midnight just to fall asleep to the sound of your voice.
Kisses that lingured on my mouth remembering the soft feel of your lips.
Drifting off to your heartbeat during car rides.
You helped me, pulling my mind from the dark without even knowing.
And smiles.
Smiling at every text, because no matter what it said it was still from you.
Smiling when you sang, laughed, or smiled.
It was you being my everything.
Wanting years instead of months.
Being there anytime of any day.
Setting my world on fire with just a single touch.
So no, it was never nothing.
To me it was real, it meant something.
And no matter how hard I try it can't ever be erased from my mind.
Because even though you're long gone, the memories will stay forever."

Wind blowing through the air
Trees dancing as they sway with the rhythm of the wind
Sun glaring down on all of humanity
capturing everything in its vision

Thinking, Wondering..
What is it like to be a star in the night sky
to be seen together as one
"Stars" look at their beauty
how they belong with each other
illuminating the sky

oh what i'd do not to feel alone
no difference made when im with friends
it seems they only give me temporary happiness
there is nothing here that can fill the void

365 lonely days, 52 lonely weeks
everyday its the same ol' repetitive crap
eat, pray, sleep, think, eat, pray, sleep, think
****, its such a bore here, what I'd do to never feel alone

What I can feel
I've never felt before
This burning desire
I just can't ignore

It must be a spell
Cast from hell
What else could this be
Who has taken hold of me

This evil temptation
I cannot resist
You must truly be
The most evil witch

Your enchanting eyes
And irresistible lips
That dark blonde hair
And those beautiful hips

But I have to resist
I have to be strong
Before I do something terribly wrong
