Bio
Keith Miller May 2015
Bio
I am a resident among stars, though I do not yet shine as brightly as they;
Among words and wonders, wandering, though not lost, still to find my way;
Among dreams unfulfilled, inheritance unwilled, love un-distilled, and a fervor un-obeyed. I am a young prince, and I am about, to come of age.
I will take the helm, I will rule a realm, and may Justice Rule my Reign.
For I am resident among stars, and 'tis my destiny to shine as brightly as they.
When I signed for this site I saw the bio section and it just came out. I made some revisions but here it is.

A Famous Beloved
Keith Miller May 2015
There are few things a man hope for
Of some, only a man can dream
The thing that I shall be known for?
In this life, I was loved by thee.

Our Love's Song
Keith Miller May 2015
Cause it's a simple melody
Singing of the love between you and me.
It flows between us, easy, like air in the trees
We got more love than the air has leaves

Back and forth, back and forth
I'm loving you and you are loving me
A love as wide as sky, as deep as the sea

Army of Love
Keith Miller May 2015
We are arrayed as an army, banners of love unfurled.
Hear the echoes of our marching, marching as to war.
Your walls wilt before us, love is burning down your door.
We'll sack your heart to save your soul, that you may live forevermore.

Death and Tardiness
Keith Miller May 2015
I am dead
Dead to the world
Comfort and unconsciousness, chains to the nether
But soon the savior comes
Resurrection is at hand
Classes, like Mary, beckon the savior's call
Morning is his cue
But I am dead
Dead to the world
The sun makes his debut
But I slap my savior on the snooze
Chains to the nether hold me tight
Mary pleads with the savior,
"The sun has passed his cue!"
Shrieking, my savior calls to me,
Shriek! Lazarus! Come Forth!
Shriek! I am pulled back from the nether
Shriek! The breath of life enters me
Chains of unconsciousness are cut
Comfort won't let go
I must find the will to live
Throw back the cover of my coffin
My grave clothes I'm still
I struggle toward the sepulcher door
Let the stone be rolled away!
Breathe deep the breath of life
Shower off the dead smell
I leave smelling if fine grave spices
Glance at my watch
Pick up my pace
But it's too late
I'm still dead.
I awoke early one morning with a simple phrase rolling over in my head. . . I slap my savior on the snooze. I built this around it.

More than I can bear
Keith Miller May 2015
Your mercy is too much for me
Your love I cannot bear
Yet Your still grace grasps me
It's escape I would not dare
Your judgement separates me
Like wheat from the tare
Your righteousness covers me
In Your arms I have no care

Carnal War
Keith Miller May 2015
Her weapons of war are so carnal. Her smile flashes like the shimmer of swords. Her shape reaches out like a spear. Her battle cry like the look in her eye dares to raise the dead in me. But the beast is slain each morning, nailed to the cross I bare on my way the grave. And I am satisfied in the rising tide of strength that comes from not being my own that fills the vast beaches of my weakness and washes away every trace of her haunting footprints in the sand.
not a poem, more of a observation and then meditation. It was the way this random girl looked at me that told me she was trouble. this was a stepping stone toward my decision for ****** abstinence till marriage.

Try me
Keith Miller May 2015
I'll make you famous, famous indeed.
I'll dot your eyes and cross your teeth.
Then everyone will know you dared to tango with me.
I'll make you famous, famous indeed.
I'll tell you no lies. I'll end you on your knees.
Every where you go, they'll know you dared to dance with me.
I'll make you famous, famous indeed.

A Sunrise in a Starbucks
Keith Miller May 2015
There I was early and bright
lingering… waiting for coffee
hoping they get it just right

when she came in, and oh! what a sight
My heart skipped a beat, the room felt warm
I turned pale, pale as moonlight

Then I see, I see just beyond sight
I see in her, I see a light

As if one pulled back the morning curtain
To a new and beautiful sunrise

Gentle at first, soft as starlight
pale as the moon. growing just as bright

Warm as Dawn’s first kiss, it broke forth upon my heart
whiskers and strands of many colored sunlight

She became yellow-brimmed and fuchsia limbed
pink, magenta, lavender, and periwinkle blue
Her brightness grew till all color broke and shattered

Then all faded to white
All there was, was her, her and her light.

but like a sunrise I mustn’t look too long
A sunrise isn’t mine to own

She saw my starstruck eyes, my hanging chin
She answered with a simple ‘Hi' and impish grin

But for a moment there was only her,
her and her light;
While we were lingering… waiting for coffee.
hoping they get it just right
This actually happened to me.

Her eyes are nothern stars guiding me
Her smile is wind in my sail bringing me near
My Magellan eyes scan her coast and sky
My words, a cartagrapher drawing her every curve and line
I sail an ocean of curiosity till storm of her desire
send me crashing ashore
Let my heart be run aground upon her chest
Let me be stranded upon her lips,
My hands castaway in her hair
And wander her silken seashore
Love has led me to a New World
I want to explore every part
I have found the great fortune of my life
in her untamed, wild land
Like Cortes, I burn the ships
May I never be rescued

6, no, 7 things
Keith Miller May 2015
There are 6 things I have hoped for, 7 I cannot live without.
A stream filled with affection, an untamed love in the dark.
Justice for the widow and the orphan, and mercy for the straying heart.
Honor for the name of my Father, strength for my mother's arms.
And wisdom, that I may know. . . all the ways of your heart.
Model after a biblical proverb.
