Daisies

Daisies
Are quite like people
(or perhaps people are like daisies)

In full bloom in the light
But in the shade they hide away,
Wallowing in self pity.

Allowing themselves to be picked on
and trampled into a million pieces,
By letting people walk over them.

So pretty
Yet so humble,
Their beauty goes unnoticed, even by themselves.

Until one day someone treasures it
and falls hopelessly in love with the humble daisy,
Preferring it over the other daisies.

Then finally the daisy shrinks
to a tatty mess,
no longer young and beautiful-
Dead.
again this has little structure and was written when I was 15!

This is more than a little thing
This is a forever partnership, friendship
This is more than just a *** and lust
This is a forever connection spoken through the physical
This is more than basic conversations
This is a forever search of a deeper intellectual stimulation
This is more than just getting along
This is a forever journey of laughter, affection, fun
This is more than arguing
This is a forever commitment to understanding
This is more than hearing each other
This is a forever devotion to listening and caring
This is more than confidence
This is a forever reliance on trust, loyalty, honesty
This is more than how you make me feel
This is a forever journey in exploring every depth of you
This is more than a young romance
This is a forever love

If
If this is a movie,
Let me tell you I want my money back

Cause last time you ever
wrote me into your story
I was the girl
who could not make it to the interval

If this is a book that you are reading
Lemme turn the page

Cause last time you ever
read me something
I had to wake up
to find you missing

If this is nothing but a game to you
Lemme tell you I don't want to play anymore

Cause last time we played hide-n-seek
You never started looking
And I had to yell
" I'm over here"

If this is a life that I'm living
Lemme tell you I Want to end it

Cause last time I heard
Life is only for the living
And I have already
started rotting

If this is an expectation, I'm supposed to stand up to
Lemme tell you I'm already slipping

Cause last time you
held me in your arms
I felt a noose tightening around,
Strangling and choking me

If it is death what you are scared of
Lemme tell you, death is the only privilege we all can afford

Cause last time I opened my eyes
I saw how biased life was,
Every one thinks they have a plan
But Life tricks us all

Stars

Why do people look at the stars
But not at each other
They yearn to see something millions of miles away
But don't care to view what's in front of them
Don't want to fix the problems at hand
Don't need to understand humanity
Because humanity does not understand itself
No it is much easier to look to the stars
Who have always been there
And always will be
Although we don't know how they got there
But then again, the same can be said for us

the kind of girl your parents won’t approve of-
bony kneed with dollar store colors in her hair
crazy eyed- the kind of girl that would lie
while telling you secrets and pretending they’re scars
speaking in spaghetti for dinner, gluten free
takes the handful of change and keeps it
spitting on parking metres and acts as if
sipping cough syrup and swallowing your ***
(you love her sticky palms)
was enough to survive suburbia
the kind of girl that writes your address under her lips
so she can find her way home after tequila and tacos
and keep your initials wet all the time

You do not write for them,
you write for yourself.
So write! Do not be afraid of their criticism. No matter how ****** your poems are, no matter how usual the words you use, or even if your words do not rhyme at all.
JUST WRITE!
