Be the wind of positive change!
Be the lightning that strikes fear into evil!
Be the thunder that triumphs against oppression!

Be the star that guides the lost souls home!
Be the spring breeze that refreshes suffering hearts!
Be the sacred rain that washes away tears of suffering souls!

Be the sun that shines with selfless love!
Be the bird that sings with joy to an open heart!
Be the fragrance of a flower that emanates happiness as its reward!

Be the moon that reflects light onto a darkened path!
Be the dawn that unfolds the gifts of blessings and smiles!
Be the candle that burns in honor of a kind soul mourned by a loved one!

"You are not fresh", suggested my flesh.
Yet, every gem of my body tells me that I am fresh,
And all the snowflake's songs whisper in my ear that I am fresh!

“You are not fresh", asserted my intellect.
Yet, my deeds have the fragrance of  flowers,
And my thoughts are painted with the color of spring!

“You are not fresh”, sighed my heart.
Yet, my days keep blossoming with joy and happiness,
And my imagination is colored with boyish dreams!

“You are not fresh” whispered my conscience.
Yet, youth is not measured by age, but by the number of smiles
You draw on people's faces, and the lives you touch!

“You are not fresh” insisted my ego.
Yet, the moon has become more elegant with brightness after long age,
And the sun has revealed more beauty after shining for millions of years!

Sailing into her sweet smile, I wiped her two tears, embraced her longing, and watered her with one thousand unborn smiles!

From my wounds,
I heard the rooster crow, the awakening of a new dawn,
And my Angel whisper not to “go to sleep with the dead corpses”.

From my wounds,
I lit one thousand candles, and added to them a dose
Of my grandma’s prayer for one thousand 'pay it forward' pledges.

From my wounds,
I made a flute to play the songs of the suffering souls, and built
For my mother an eternal castle made of my love, tears, and longing.

From my wounds,
I created my poetry kingdom, full of inspiration,
And intoxicated my veins with the wine of humanity.

From my wounds,
I became drunk with the infinite beauty of nature, and painted
my dreams with the moon's light that has touched beautiful hearts!

From my wounds
I gazed at your face glowing with light, I felt your
Gentle touch and your sweet kiss in the soft breeze!

It does not matter.
If you inflict a wound in my heart, I will make my wound blossom with a Thousand songs of love, and a garden of tulip flowers!

It does not matter.
If you crucify me on the cross of origin or religion,
I will turn my cross to become a shrine for freedom lovers!

It does not matter.
If you declare 'Punish Hussein Day', I will replace your day
Of punishment with feast, festivity, and celebration of life!

It does not matter,
If you insult me or call me every name in the book,
I will transform your harm to a prayer and regard
You as my equal in humanity!

Not to worry,
If you happen to let the radiance of the sun penetrate your thoughts,
And have enjoyed the soft light of the moon with it's full smile.

Not to worry,
If you have heard the melody of the bird’s songs, or the ocean waves,
And have let your heart dance to the music of love and happiness.

Not to worry,
If you have inhaled the scent of fragrant flowers, and let
Your mind be awakened to the beauty of the world around you.

Not to worry,
If your life has been touched by the company of good friends, who color Your world with smiles, ideas, and a touch of love.

Not to worry,
If you believe in Divine power, who will lift you up when
You stumble, and carry you in His arms when you can’t walk.

I searched for God in extravagant churches, temples, and mosques, but no trace of Him was found!
I searched for Him at the gatherings of the rich, but he was not present!
I searched for Him at the palaces of the greatest kings, but he was not there!

I found God in the droplets of water that quench the thirst of many.
I found Him in the trees that nurture human kind with their bountiful fruits.
I found Him in the radiance of the sun that illuminates the whole Universe.
I found Him in air particles that give life to a human being with every breath.

I found God in the murmur of my mother’s prayer.
I found Him in the holy dish which feeds a hungry stomach.
I found Him in the eyes of the homeless that convey thousands of untold stories.
I found Him in the sacred tears of innocent souls that are wailing for justice.

I found God in minds that think, breath, and act with kindness.
I found Him in the charitable hands that donate, and expect nothing in return.
I found Him in the silent heart of a suffering person that exudes patience
I found God in the tireless eyes of a scientist researching cures for diseases!
