Spring
Hailey Allen Apr 2017
Spring.
I can truly sing.

Spring.
I may recieve a diamond ring.

Spring.
I can shoot splash ***** with a sling.

Spring.
I just like to do my thing!
No, I'm not getting married in spring. I'm a kid! I just needed a rhyming line for my poem. What do you do in spring? Answer in the comments.

Allergies!
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
I walked outside to smell some flowers,
Their anthers blowing in the breeze
But while my plan was to sniff them for hours,
What sprung up?
It wasn't weeds.

As I bent down to smell the roses,
And the brilliant, white daisies
Suddenly I felt a tickle in my nose
What really sprung up?
My allergies!
I hate allergies. But now that spring is here, it'll be even worse!

Husband/Father
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
After a hard day at work
You come home to love
That God has given to you
For it came from above

Your family hugging
Your wife kissing, too
You see that your children
Really care about you

Through all of your troubles
Just to get to the airport
You come home to the unexpected...
Love, care, and support!
When my dad comes home, I like to show him that he's loved.

The Earth's Book
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
Water rushes
Hear the brook
And imagine
That no fish were hooked
Hope that's a page in the Earth's book

Hunters shoot
You must look
And imagine
That no deer were cooked
Hope that's a page in the Earth's book

Owls swooped in
It's mice they took
And imagine
That animals were not like crooks
Hope that's a page in the Earth's book

And even if sin on Earth never ends,
Don't forget that Jesus is coming back again!
Don't let sin on Earth keep you feeling down.

How Do I Describe A Smile?
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
How do I describe a smile?
Charming, joyful, soft
So bounce around
And laugh a while
That's how I describe a smile

How do I describe a smile?
Loving, cheerful, kind
So run very fast
And cheer for miles
That's how I describe a smile
Smile everyone

A person can want,
But will he get?

It's like saying he's crippled,
But can he sit?

You can desire
For a kind word
Or be a liar
Now that's absurd

I didn't expect a like
But I was amazed that some were polite

All I'm trying to say
Is that with your kind words you made my day!
Thankyou, everyone, for liking my poem called Like.

If I could get a simple like
Just a little heart
Than I'd smile very soft
It would be a tiny start

If I could get a like
It would make my day
I would spread some needed joy
And make love come your way

If I could get a like
I would party all day long
And would hug my dearest friend
Plus, sing a little song

If I could get a like
I would write until I'm dust
I'd write a lovely poem
Read it if you must!

Please like!
A simple like can make a difference! It can encourage someone to keep writing.

Depressed?
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
Did you cry when you bumped your knee,
Or when mother was stung by a bee?

Did you sigh when you hurt a friend,
Or felt your guilt would never end?

Did you holler when you were upset,
Or thought your heartbroken eyes were wet?

How did you feel when you were sad?
Next time turn to God; be glad.
Think of God during hard times,

I May Be...
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
I may fall,
But am I weak?

I may be mute,
But can I speak?

I may be deaf,
But can I hear?

I may be old,
But when's my death year?

I may be weak,
But am I strong?

God was with me all along.
God was with you all along!

Hope
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
Hope

Hope is a sparrow on the deck ledge,
Praying her chicks will fly off the edge.

Hope is an old cat in an animal rescue,
Longing for a compassionate person like you.

Hope is a child wishing for some friends,
Once the game of freeze tag ends.

Hope is a poor man on the street
With a desire to hear a song so upbeat.

Hope is what most people want and gain,
Even through trial and storm and rain.

Hope.
With hope, faith, prayer, and determination, I convinced my family to get a dog. It took a lot of work, but I did it. But only with the help of God.

Falling Wood
Hailey Allen Mar 2017
I know that when I hear the sound
Of falling wood that hits the ground
I think of a tree so innocent
An axe in it making a dent

I wish I could help, but no
They're chopped in sunshine, rain, or snow
The mean old men would stop and quarrel
Never thinking of the bird or squirrel

Down fall the trees
And all the bees
Are mad at men
For smashing their den

I know that when I hear the sound
Of falling wood that hits the ground
I'll know that not just the trees
End up falling to their knees

Protect Trees!

-Hailey A.
I made this poem a while ago. No, I don't care all that much about trees, but it's important to know that when a tree is chopped down, so is an animal's home.
