Children of the Moon!
Abandon your worn shoes
And frolic freely, barefoot
In Her midnight light;

Let down your lovely locks
And bare your ashen skin
To allow Her celestial lips
Kiss your collar bones;

Let Her blanket of shadows
Drape over your shoulders,
While She crowns you with
A headdress of night diamonds.
Nighttime is when the battered souls unveil themselves
and the Moon welcomes them with open arms.

Wrote this while listening to
Bravado by Lorde on loop.
That one is either rolling a cigarette between her teeth
or picking out this morning's rushed breakfast keish.
That man is either yelling lyrics to an upbeat rap melody
or scolding his young child, with his back to me.
That mom is either arguing with a voice on her earpiece
or the little girl, defeated, with her head in her knees.

I would tell that lady that her teeth look fine,
or that cigarettes ****, but she might respond with I don't mind
I would tell that man that he's good at what he does,
or he shouldn't yell at his kid, we all know that's not love
I would ask of the mother to pay more attention to her girl,
or maybe a bit less if that's what's making her hurl.

I wonder if anyone plays this game with me
when all you can do is wonder when all you can do is see.
I wonder what they think and if to them I seem okay
I don't mean to intrude, I just fasten my seatbelt and play.
When you can't help but observe the life outside of your sideview mirrors, and sometimes it leaves you wondering.

Even though life seems to be teaching me
sometimes I wonder if ever
I will truly and without doubt
feel like I am really free...

                                        (for you see, sometimes
                                        the fears, the nightmares
come back in the dark of night
and I lay there shivering with absolute fright!)

and then I think if I close my eyes tight
they (the monsters in my head)
will not be able to see
just how much they're frightening me--
but still, the darkness lurks
at the end of every single day
and I have to manage somehow
to keep the fears/monsters/my pain at bay...

So, even though life seems to be teaching me
                                         sometimes I wonder if ever
I will truly and without doubt
feel like I am really free...
I'm getting better about shoving it out of my head, but still have my rough nights... :(
Fastidious future full of fiddling.
Entrusted to erode everlasting evil.
Anchor ambition to alleviate anguish.
Recalled relationship of regret.

Why do we possess
Such an intrusive feeling
Which crawls in our veins?
Too many deeds it constrains.

It stares behind the wall
Like a vigilant, wakeful cat
Who has spot its unaware prey.

Suddenly it streams and stays,
Paralysing its cosy habitat.
The Fear has conquered you and mauled.

Whoever speaks with fear,

His life slowly creeps

Into the breaths near

The lioness’s lips.

When I tell a woman she is beautiful,
many times she looks at me with fear.

She is beautiful, I am being truthful,
so much fear and confusion is on her face.

I used to think
being strange
was a curse
it wasn't until
i met you
i realized
it was the
best thing about
me
