Crimsyy
i'm not quite sure when
i fell inlove with you,
but there's no turning back
i drink you
increase my intake
the dimmer i get

i like you
hot, milky, and sweet
i drink you
not to escape reality
but to feel more awake in it

they say a good, warm cup
of anything
resembles a human embrace
so maybe it's not caffeine
i can't get enough of

maybe it's erasing
all the armless hugs
maybe it's loving myself
in ways he never did

i drink my cup of tea daily
like popping a bottle of comfort
on the weekend
increase my intake
the deeper i feel

i like my cup of tea
hot, milky, and sweet enough
to erase the sour taste
of his name dying in my mouth.

"You are my star,"* said he
"I am a star that fell from the sky
to dwell with you,
and lost my light
to share darkness with you."

and there they sat
each passerby
with vivid lives
the urge to cry

magnificent words
on some of their tongues
and a song to sing
in each of their lungs

the hand they bear
some never know
and I think we
must learn to grow
sonder: the realization that each passerby has a life as vivid and complex as one's own.

Addictions work in the same way.
It doesn't matter if you're addicted to smoking crack beneath the city freeway,
shooting dope in some sketchy halfway house
on the west side of town,
or starving your body
for the illusion of control.
They all have one purpose,
to get you high.

Emeralds and rubies are impure crystals, diamond is just graphite made under pressure; you are an empty soul with a broken heart

All these may be regarded as treasures
*but you are still my favorite gemstone

You say you don't care for the exact same reason why you're sad; you say you don't wanna comment on the things you wanna talk about; you say you have goals when deep inside you have already given up; you say life moves on when you know you are stuck;

*You are a living paradox who just wants to die

Another great scenario of the universe
that comes over a hundred years;
once in a lifetime.

So wonderful and beautiful
delusions gone, reality reveals.
a bright glimpse of moonlight
a hidden beauty.

It is such a good thing, the universe
can wait for a thousand years.

Fill me up
Top me off
I just can't get enough

Give me the needle
I'm in a situation, medical
I just can't get enough of this chemical

It'll play with you
Make you believe
Make you see
Skies of blue

Take you away
Bask in the sun
Up on plateau
Feeling found fun

When the feeling is gone
And there's not enough
Need a new source
Well that's tough

The chemical killing me
Has left to die

I'm waiting for the next dose
Coast to the next host

The chemical flies like a dove
It's name is love
