The sweet reminiscences of a miracle
Like an echo's last breath, so spiritual
So close, yet so far
Always keep your mind ajar
Miracles won't manifest in your palace
Miracles can only help the callous

False hearts of stone reach for greater heights
When it takes flesh and bone to taste its delight
All the wrong friends
With all the wrong foes
Transfixes the mind on the black rose
Away from the light, dwelling deep in the dark
Is a mind too early to expect a spark
So close, yet so far
Always keep your mind ajar
Miracles won't manifest in your palace
Miracles can only help the callous*

Before you go complaining
About how your feet are aching
And about how it is you've paid your dues

I guess you'd best be knowing
Exactly where you're going
And when you get there what you plan to do

You're spouting off your stories
All your pain and glories
And how nobody has it as hard as you

Before you go and lose your sight
I think you might just want to try
And walk a mile in another mans shoes

I'm not here to cause you trouble
Don't mean to burst your bubble
But you're not the only one around that moves

Not the only one who's life is hectic
Are you starting yet to get it
There is nothing new you need to prove

When you start to walk this way
In your day by day by day by day
Not thinking as you set your course on cruise

There are other people around you know
Check your pace and take it slow
And try walking a mile in another mans shoes

Words of encouragement are like a cool drink on a hot day
Words of encouragement can chase the blues away
Words of encouragement are like a warm sweater on a chilly
      May day
Words of encouragement is something most of us seek
Words of encouragement is something too few people speak
Words are a powerful tool they can be used to build people up
Why not spread words of encouragement today?

Because of you my heart sings
a song much sweeter than the
lark which makes its home in
the meadow...

I smile because of the faith
that I found you did reward
me with which makes me see
those things I would not...

My happiness is shown to all
through the feelings which
find life in finely inked
words of praise to you alone

And as Your glow adorns my
my face each morning I rise
to a crescendo of many lovely
moments and heavenly sounds

Where I find the radiance in
your life light which I share
with you far outshines the
brightest star which lights
your heavenly kingdom.
A psalm of thanks to God

good night
my dear poet.

you stream so well
and strong inside me.

that I've searched
for a
new homeland;
to declare
a country for words
you've been settling down.

O' man
What wouldst thou chooseth;
If in front of thee?

A dollar bill
With Ben Franklin's face;
Or thy family, and loved ones, whom it's thee they need.

O man'
What is it that satisfieth thee;
Thy material's, of muck, and greed?

O' man
O' man;
Tommorrow doth not alway's cometh.

Shall I bind you with cords of kinship,
Instead of ties of flagrant love?
Shall I catch you with family kindness,
Instead of arrows from above?
Am I a coward,
or a faithful friend,
who longs to keep you to the end,
A fool
a liar
a lover unrequite
dangerously chaining you
to a rose I claim is white?
There is someone who I love very much,  but I can't figure out if I'm falling in love with him romantically or in a sisterly way. I want my family to adopt him, but I don't want to do anything rash or stupid, like prematurely permanently put him in the bro-zone.

not until
   not so long ago
I recognized
that saying thanks
only with wordless deeds and gestures
may not be enough

we need to
   hear
GRATITUDE
spoken out loudly
   in words

silent appraisal
   is not enough
   over time

so I speak out
in deep appreciation
   of your hard work
   to make us
   stay together
against tall centrifugal forces
the division of
   distance and time
   distress and separation
   barriers of the quotidian
   multiple obligations

I thank you
   for being with me

even at times
   when you are almost
beside yourself

I thank you
   for being with me
and being you

When in a lifetime
nights lengthen and
the world with us
seems more insistent..
Bad news mixes with good
as it seems now
and as we notice
ever before in memory..
I write these words
after hearing at lunchtime
her new intent
to simply let go..
Perhaps to experience
a real Self abiding
unblemished and shining
carrying the message of
happiness and peace...
for a friend...
