This world can be a dark, crue,l and hateful place. That is why we must be ever vigilent against the tide of racism and hatred that overshadows the land. Where there is cruelty we must bring compasion, where there is darkness we must become the light, and where there is hate we must be love. I hope all of us can live as shining example of the goodness within the hearts of human beings.

Born
a man came to me and said
Revolution was the most painful thing that ever happened to him

I didn't see it
We hardly noticed the tides changing

With our unwavering conviction we believed
with passionately believed
nobody warned us
We blindly went all in

But that's just it
We believed the half baked truth we were given
we believed the compassionate lies we were told
we utterly feel in love with the "truth"

We could see change and hope
we could finally see the dreams of our
sons and daughters
mothers and fathers
coming to light
we could taste victory and the sweet fragrance of freedom coming our way.

But we couldn't see the destruction and annihilation that it came with
the pain and suffering awaiting us
The void and ache that would envelope us
That the price was going to be catastrophic and dreadful

One day we will all be complete
Like petals conjoined
From different kingdoms, shape, and color
Because that's what plants with the same roots do
May they bloom wherever land it is
But the soil containing them is of one

The ground looks hard and crumbed
Little water soaked up as swamp
Birds chatter and flee for food
This climactic change has done no good

Animals die as lack of vegetation
Most starve and die of malnutrition
Extinction of many, ARE WE NEXT?
Counting our paces along with the rest

The ozone depletes at a steady pace
Pollution piles up in many places
Over the news, barking of such situation
Yet just a few percent take any action

Education they say, educate to lessen pollution
So many educated, now developing poisonous solution
Natural air we breathe, is no longer pure
Air borne chrome, education digs more on cure!

"Money comes from paper, paper comes from trees
Trees give oxygen, intake carbon dioxide
Yet we destroy this natural source for money
Money gets people richer and powerful, thus
invest in making and testing new diseases on people, animals, environment. On success, then cure is also developed. Within this period, so much is lost. We are not far from extinction either...ARE WE!"

If you want freedom to fail
You’re the one should be in jail.
Wave the flag and bang the drum
Let’s make changes to support freedom.

If you hate because of skin
You’re the one preaching sin.
Set your course upon the Constitution.
Make your mind up to show your resolution.

If you think rights are about race
You’re the one we should replace.
Play the fife and set the marshal rhythm.
The time has come to march right over them.

If you look down upon the poor
You’re a disease we need to cure.
Search your heart and let’s agree,
We must enact the rules of propriety.

If you sneer because you’re rich
You’re the caste we need to pitch.
We’ve seen it throughout our history
What comes of those who practice infamy.

If you think you’re superior
That’s solid proof you’re the inferior.
No matter how the bigots drone,
By their actions they will be known.

If you feel you must beat your child
Then you are still and animal in the wild.
If you use your fists to teach.
Your righteousness is out of reach

If you feel you must beat your spouse
You are truly not a man, you are a mouse.
Truth before and still this year.
Beat me and you've nothing I wish to hear.
An argument isn’t fairly won
If they have to reach for a gun.
Some may say might makes right
But that can’t stand up to the light.

Government and church must be
Totally separate now and for eternity.
Two words that deserve derision
Are these two words: state religion.

Our human rights simply have to be
The undisputed rule of law universally.
We know it’s true, we all saw
Billy clubs and fire hoses, used by law.

If you think equality is wrong
You’re the reason for this song.
And we sing it loud, hear, hear!
And we will sing that song as a jeer.

If you hate because of skin
You’re the one preaching sin.
Somebody surely must have lied
When enemies claim god's on their side.

If you think rights are about race
You’re the one we should replace.
You think racism is heaven-kissed
You can move away. You won’t be missed.

Progress is a gift from the wise.
It cannot happen if we worship lies.
Our home will fail to stand
If we build the foundation on sand.

I saw few people
Of middle class & poor.
Went to a bakery
To eat.

I was one of them
To eat alone
Having money to eat
but no one to accompany.

Some people came together
They too wanted to eat
But with less money
They thought twice & thrice
what to eat &
what would cost less
Their only worry was
Although they were together
But with less of money
So they chose the items
Which they could afford.

They all ate and
went back together
I ate and came back alone
on my own.
I went to a bakery yesterday, to eat but had to one to accompany with me but for few people, they have people around them but don't have the required money to enjoy their living. It struck me hard, is it that I am fortunate enough to have money or they are fortunate to have people around them. Money matter I learnt it the hard way. I too once had no job but lot of people around me
But with job, I kept losing people around me.

Fifty-nine hard seems short now years
today heard about a massacre
Fifty-eight, so far have died,
all strangers to the psychopath
who mowed them down
and I sat stunned crying
then heard about Tom
and tears fell down my face over my hands
fifty-nine known just today lives taken
so much more I sit listening to Last dance
with Mary-Jane
thinking of  everyone who died today
and didn't make the news but
i cry anyways

I wear a costume
of poorly executed
ink artistry
that could barely
be called calligraphy.

Claiming to be
a culture rebel
I write poetry
to challenge
this society;

But is my nonconformity
the camouflage that
I use to protect myself
sticking out at a safe distance
so no one tries to get
to closed to me.

Am I a zoo animal
of sweet entertaining intentions
on the verge of extinction
cause no one loves
my kind of disposition?

Faster than
a flash in a pan
I’m tossed in a can
the discarded man
who made spectacular plans.

Plans that spanned
beyond human command,

a hopeful hearted poet
alone, sinking in quicksand
the sweet gentleman,

a noble sacrifice of convenience
because my momentum
was already carrying me there.

So, in caring I shared
sweet smiles and jokes
all my thoughts and my hopes
to help you all cope
while I go boldly on into
that last dark night
you were all dreading.

So when I die
do not let our nation’s
flag fly high
a symbol of separating humans
by maps and accidental locations,
don’t sound soldiers glory with rifles

Point your pens
to the heavens
where dreams of space begin
send me into oblivion
with love
and hopes for exploration
and in my name
write a better
kinder world
then the one
I am leaving.
