Looks like I am going to
be abandoned for the 2nd
time, mon destin en effet,
a French Sheila and all, I
blame Brexit, our opposing
views, not compatible, ah
well, third time Lucy, no K!

I died inside today
in which way
I just cant say
But I died inside today
In just which way
I must not say
Because I died inside today.

I haven't got out of bed in 3 days
I don't want to
I don't want to see anyone
I don't want to make pointless conversation about how your christmas was
I don't want to hear about how great your life is or about the family you claim to love but **** off most of the time
I don't want to know that you passed all of your exams without even trying
So don't push a note under my door asking if i'm ok
I'm fine
I just don't want to talk to you

Poetry ought to do things right
and document reality—
but modern muses lose the fight
weaponizing identity.

Out-doing themselves, our leaders all
legitimize perversity.
Who gave them this satanic call
to demonize normality ?

In showing off their dubious worth,
the nation’s ignobility
transform to Babel all the earth
augmenting instability.

They can’t go One-World fast enough
suppressing Christianity.
Their matriarchy’s mom is tough,
enforcing femininity.

Milk of reptilian global beast:
postmodern animality
offers her withered poison breast
maintaining infantility.

They pour across. We help them in
supporting illegality;
our taxes fund their brand-new life
rewarding criminality.
YOU  finish it
(some pre-fab starters):
re-wording historicity
furthering imbecility
fanning flammability
normalized vulgarity
shortening eternity
denying immortality

PROMPT #2: write a poem that similarly resists closure by ending on a question,
inviting the reader to continue the process of reading
(and, in some ways, writing) the poem even after the poem ends

water
a place for a lemon to make lemonade
Maybe add all this sugar
it’s cheat day today
and it’s your birthday

Sweet tooth to being smooth
Just speak the truth
and you’ll be cool
nobody likes liars

lets talk about what’s required
Lemons are just a mock to limes
how actors are a mock to mimes
but that’s off topic lets get back to limes

limes are chill
and they’re not like that bitter person you see on the street
it’s like a treat
lime water is fresh
but here’s the twist to this whole poem
you know what actually sounds better?
a watermelo
Hard to imagine,
but it's not imagination.

Fully aware of where I am,
try as I can,
I can't see anything
except for the darkness.

We’re all in the same Hell now...
The swindlers, the believers,
The cowards, and the leaders.
We’re all in the same Hell now...
Welcome to reality,
Welcome to reality.

It’s nothing personal
You were born mortal.
Heaven watches from the skies
But Hell waits beneath the lies.
What are you going to do?
When you stand and face
The life you chose.
What excuse will you impose?

The devils are laughing
as they welcome you.
They once believed that
they were special too.

(But)
We’re all in the same Hell now...
The ******, the healers,
The judges, and the killers.
We’re all in the same Hell now....
Welcome to reality,
Welcome to reality.

What are you doing with your life?
What are you doing with your life?
Flash back to Sixteen years
Did you relish in their tears?
What’s waiting for you when you die?
What’s waiting for you when you die?
Rich or poor, we don’t care,
The weight on sin will find you here.

Did you really think that
Doing some good things
Would hide all the stains
On your grubby little hands?

(Ha!)
We’re all in the same Hell now...
The victims, the abusers,
The winners, and the losers.
We’re all in the same Hell now...
Welcome to reality,
Welcome to reality.

Wake up! Your not dead.
Get up from your bed.
We’re still waiting,
We’re still laughing,
We’re still watching you.

you crept in my window
in the middle of the night
to steal all i had
right from me
nothing left in sight
place your hands around my
mouth
and now i can't breathe
the loneliness has robbed me
of everything

Humor me with your insults
By now I’ve heard this stand up comedy routine so many times
I could do it sitting down
Laughter is the best medicine but I am overdosing
This substance in a prescription bottle with your name on it
It makes me toss my head back with the pills
And I laugh and I laugh

Whenever I think of a Mother,
one person comes to my mind;
She is full of love and compassion,
and I'm so glad that she's mine!
~
I can proudly say, without a doubt,
that my Mother-In-Law is my Mom;
For she treats me like her own daughter,
in spite of all of my wrongs.
~
She comforts me when I'm distraught,
she wipes away tears that I cry;
She's wise beyond the years she's lived,
she encourages me when I try.
~
And even though her life's been hard,
she still shows her love to me;
Happy Mother's Day, my sweet Mother,
thank you for everything

I have waited for you
White Rabbit.

I have waited for you
To run back into my arms
And tell me that I will be okay.

But how ironic it is to say
That you are late.

Hahahahaha
                    hahaha
                                  ha. . .

You - expecting me to change?
Me - maybe for a day or more
We all have our ways
Set as an old lady’s hair in rollers
I get a little bolder each day
We always go back to the familiar
It’s easier that way
Sorry I let you down
You don’t serve it
Sorry I wasn’t around
When you needed me - I ran
I run everything down
I’m a broken record
I keep repeating
The same old pattern
I never did learn Latin in high-school
I learned to cop out
As usual
