Safe

I just want to feel secure.

When I cry to you, run to me.
Be afraid to let my tears fall...
as if any one of them had ran too far down my face,
another drop of blood would pour from your heart
because it pains you so bad to see me cry.
Feel as hurt as you would if you had seen your mother cry.
Maybe not as much
but just COMFORT ME ******!

I want to feel secure.

Look me in the eye and tell me you love me.
Not in that voice that you use when you're annoyed.
Make me feel loved and wanted.
Make me feel
like no one could ever replace the love we have
because it's just that ******* strong.

I want to feel secure.

Go out and adventure with me.
I know that I'm your best friend,
but I'm also more than that.
I don't want to just sit at home with you and play video games.
There's so much more to life.
There's so many skies we have yet to see.
I want to only see them with you,
and hope that you to only want to see them with me.

I want to feel secure.

for them,

and the ones we get to love,

she's such a *****

i'm capable of lust-
surely that's been proven true,
but am i merely lusting
when i gaze at you?

i feel my baser instincts
may have overtaken me before
and now, to some, i have
the reputation of a *****;

but now i smile at your names
and dream about your faces-
and ***** i may be, as i sit
planning visits to all these places.

if i am such a *****,
overtaken by my lust,
why am i heartbroken when
you all leave me, as you must?

silly little ***** i am,
and drowning in that name;
my loves shall ever be my loves,
though they treat me as a game.

Can't Be Replaced

Put down the razor.
Take your fingers out of your mouth.
Drop the rope.
Put down the gun.

Wipe the tears away.
Pick up your head.
Put the crown back on.
Remember why your here.

Your wrists aren't paper.
Your size isn't a number.
Your life is a never ending story.
You're not temporary.
You can't just be thrown away.
You're a gift on earth.
You're blessed.
The past can be erased.
But you can't be replaced.

Words are skin deep.
Yeah, I know the road is steep.

There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
you just gotta get through your struggles.

Your wrists aren't paper.
Your size isn't a number.
Your life is a never ending story.
You're not temporary.
You can't just be thrown away.
You're a gift on earth.
You're blessed.
The past can be erased.
But you can't be replaced.

We all fear rejection at some level.
We all have a dance with the devil.

We're all in the same game.
Some are just a little more sane.

We all go through our crucibles.
But that's what makes life so beautiful.

Ooo, remember the past can be erased. it can be erased.
But darling you can't be replaced.

Reasons to be Alive; Octopus Eyes

I couldn't care less about
"Inspirational Quotes"
I don't need to be told that
the present is a gift
or what the best thing about
rock bottom is
or that only I can stop forest fires.

If I was to write one myself,
it would have less to do with
landing in the stars,
and more to do with
how much better you could see them
if you had the eyes of an octopus.

See,
Octopi have such phenomenal eyes.
The spectrum of color they see
makes our own look like
the ****** box of crayons
you get at a kids restaurant.
Whereas an octopuses,
would be the beautiful,
64 Crayola pack
I always wanted as a kid.

If I ever went blind,
I think I'd get octopus eye replacements.
And yeah,
I'd probably look weird because
they'd be too big for my head
but can you imagine how
strange and incredible
it would be?
And it wouldn't matter how I look because
how I see things
is more important to me
than how I'm seen.

If there was even the
slightest chance,
of seeing though the
eyes of an octopus,
that's reason enough to be alive.

And if I could take your life
or your perspective,
and change it even a bit,
that's reason enough too.

So look through the
eyes of an octopus.

Can you imagine the stars?

This is one of my very favorite poems that I've ever written.
