Where gratitude resides there's no hate
Where mind is present there's no death

A Thomas Hawkins
Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again

Honestly, sweetheart, I don't see
Why you can't see
That you belong with me
And you want to belong to me
I go back to you; you come back to me
You're just as hooked, baby
That's clear to see
Oblivious, you try to seem
But, love, you can't lie to me
You're simply scared of me
Because I've evoked feelings
And you were sent reeling
You feel confused and guilty

You admitted I'm on your mind
I know you wouldn't rewind
You and I are the only two of our kind
Others like us are hard to find
You'd rather not leave me behind
I was yours; now you're mine
That fact has you in a bind
As we met, the planets aligned
There's no need for me to remind
Naturally, we were intertwined
Different than the rest of mankind
*Basically, you were made to be mine
So, darling, you must be blind

the cat  steals  my tongue
when i see your pretty face
and my words  start to race
fighting to get along
you often  wonder why am i so shy
you say ,  you  should at least try
try , make an effort to talk
i know you're just worried
that i'll fade away alone in the dark.

I am forever
thinkin’ about you.
We’re lookin’ at the same moon
promising distances there and beyond.
If only I could get to you,
instead of the moon.

I love the moonlight.
Almost like an invitation to a far away dreamland.

But even the moonlight becomes you.
You even took the moonlight away from me.

i may be a realist
but he is my ideal
though he's only a dream
to me, he felt so real

i don't really need him
now by my side
but don't take it
literally, what i said
because if i don't see him
in my sleep tonight
i won't wake 'til i see him:
consider me dead

You will only realize
That the moon shines
At its brightest
In the darkest of times
You will only know
That the moon falls everyday
To rise at its peak every night
--
That's the beauty of every downfall. You will rise.
Today, i had my thesis endorsement. I wasn't endorsed, and that means i won't be able to go for thesis defense/deliberation, or even graduate on time, but what matters is, i learned from this entire thesis experience. And glad to say that i am not at all fazed by what people may say, because i know i have done my best, but i know that God has something better for me and i will do better.

People, never give up. And never be scared of disappointments. They teach you to toughen up for the real world, for life. As for my endorsed classmates, i hope they pass defense and make it to graduation day! Overall, i am very, very happy and thankful that i have made it this far. And i will make it farther next time.

some things are not meant to be returned
be it a library’s borrowed book
or hands that cannot hold ours and leave us cold

because we need those things
as reminders of the people
who once borrowed or took what belongs to us

and in our story

i know why i remember you so well:
it is my warmth which you borrowed
and my heart that you took
i thought of a friend who hasnt returned my lang leav book.
and i thought of you who has neither returned my heart nor given yours in exchange, wjh
