If I stood in our doorway
With the light against my back
Would you answer me a question
If I gathered the courage to ask?

If I whispered to these four blank walls
Of how Time scared me more than death
Would you laugh at me in pale moonlight
As I draw ragged breath

"That stuff kills you!" They all say
But by then they've failed to listen
The hands are broken, the clock tipped over
*But I still hear it ticking!
Time.
Lover mine,
   give no worry our parting.
In few moons
        with the Earth's spinning
steady will I hold you again.

Lover mine,
I see your trick to the eyes
side line look, a surprise to
catch me in the act          laughing.

That flash, your face
******* in a gasp,
   Lover mine.

Two smiles makes a circle of us.
Me chasing you chasing,
catching we & clasp to the breathing.

                        Quickened,  heaving   Sea
                             oh we...

     This I will not miss,
for I will see it in the warm
sleeping, feel in the waiting
     visions of memory,
       keeping company
               in secret.

I will be
ever on the other side of
       your thinking,
              your wakeful burning urges,
           pressed against them
                 until next time,
                             Lover mine.
Please know I love you
For all that its worth
Had I the power
I'd slow down the Earth
Keep day from the night
Our lovers moon never setting
Knowing I can't is truly upsetting
You've a piece of my heart
I'll never get back
But the Earth is slipping from my grasp
I can't hold it back
I don't want this to end
Our love or this night
So every sunset
I'll hold back the Earth
And pray for endless night

Please don't forget me, don't make me your past
I know time is fleeting, time is moving too fast...
Every second of everyday I'm a prisoner thinking about you
What could have been, what should have been, if only we knew...

Don't make me an old memory that you ignore everyday
Because time keeps on ticking and I might fade away...
I'm stuck in the past and you and me are turning to dust
I've lost all my freedom and we are beginning to rust...

So before we wither and before you lock me into your past
Please know that behind these bars, I have only one thing to ask...
Don't forget me, don't forget all the things in the past
Because I'm a prisoner of time and time is moving too fast...
You held me close against your chest
and wrapped your arms around my waist
you pressed your fingers on my spine
and talked about me to your friends
hour after hour
day after day
and still I was in your head
until you went blank and couldn't remember my face
"Have some patience, look inside me." I said.
They won't hear our little whispers on the bed.
Sweaty palms, it's good to feel you against me.
Don't look at us now. Look at all that we could be.
Have some faith, love.
I'll be good enough, I swear.
I'm more than anger.
More than all the grief I wear.
