Colette
The night is still young,
But the stars are out.

With our intertwined hands held,
we watch the shiny twinkling sky.

Memories flashing upon us,
as small talk begins.

Time's running out,
as you had your last breath.

Tears slipped from my face,
as you whispered your last words.
Real eyes..

Realize...

Realities.

I prefer fantasies.

Because its the
only
place
we
can
be.
Realities are not made

for
dreamers
like
me.
dreamer dream reality
us
The fountains mingle with the river
And the rivers with the ocean,
The winds of Heaven mix for ever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single,
All things by a law divine
In one spirit meet and mingle—
Why not I with thine?

See the mountains kiss high Heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea—
What are all these kissings worth
If thou kiss not me?
Falling softly, building up,
Soaking me in pain.
No hope or salvation;
Will I ever feel light again?

Without warning, no reason
For feeling this way.
It is real and it is raw;
In what game do we play?

Life's contest, our battle ground,
We face it each day.
Our destiny in our hands;
Or is it slipping away?

Our thoughts, good or bad,
They shape our moment.
We own them, control them;
Can they liberate us from torment?

You own how you are,
A solitary dancer.
Choose white, reject black;
Is this the simple answer?
Choose white.

Do you think it is
the sun that loves the moon?
shining shyly, seductively,
enticing and craving
its constant adoration
and undivided attention?

Or perhaps it is the moon
that so desperately desires the sun?
whilst in orbit, always hoping to catch
a glimpse of its radiant beauty,
enthralled by its passion, its strong
and irresistible magnetic pull?

I wonder if their love is challenged by the stars?
striking, dazzling, beautiful,
infinite onlookers, ever-watchful in the sky,
twinkling dangerously, a flirtatious third party,
competing with the sun
or trying to outshine the moon?

Despite their temptation,
the stars fail to weaken or change
the lovers, the moon and sun,
and eventually fade into insignificance.
random. extended metaphor for human love, with the stars representing interference/difficulties in a relationship
I dream of a place
where I have endless space
where the air I breathe is clear
where no one I despise is near
I dream of a place
where the water is ice cold
where no secrets can be told
where no person is too old
I dream of a place
where the sky is blue and grey
where there is never a loose fray
in the knot of my life
I dream of a place
where I can get away
where I will have no worries
for the rest of my days.

Marian
As your brush
Gently, softly strokes
The white canvas on easel
The paint swirls delicately
Ingeniously you mix the rainbow
Of colors on your magical palette
Blending them all together to create your scene
You could create a whole new world of wonder
Just for me and you
And I often wonder what I would paint
If I were such an artist as you
And held all the magical illusions
Right at my fingertips
But since I am not an artist
I can still soak—drink in
The beauty only you can give birth to
The worlds of imagination
Only you can see
And paint upon canvas
For a poetess to see!

The mysteries of those eyes still beckon me.
Wandering away, I seek a glance.
Wondering, would there be a second chance.
Wishing, to be touched again.
In those eyes I saw,
the answers to all my pains.
A world bereft of love,
I can't be sane.
Unless! I see you again
to look in your eyes and be born again.
