Sad boys.

If I were a painter,
he would definitely be my muse.
But amidst the shades
of black, gray, and blue
there wouldn't be
a color dark enough
to match the sadness
in his eyes.

Death
the final vacation,
destination unknown.
I just hope its all inclusive,
I left my wallet
in my other suit.

Beyond the clouds
There is a light
Gentle and strong
The promise
Of the end of night.
It shimmers
With the sound of
Children's laughter.
The hint of
A happily ever after.
Or maybe just
Okay for now,
But we'll make it
Through this storm
Somehow.

Broken knuckles and broken thoughts
pain means I still have my breath
even on a path to nowhere
life never means any more or less

shattered life and a shattered mind
the pieces all together fit
even on a path to nowhere
keep moving and never quit

miles and miles that run between us.

whilst I am crumbling and falling apart and you are dragging your body through hell we stumble upon each others echoed voices
in the dark
the whispers make the stars light up above me and slowly guide me to you
and I paint pictures of you in my head wrapped in my arms with the pale moon reflecting in your eyes.
these miles are slowly shrinking and closing between us, this feeling shattering through my body like I'd pulled a trigger on a gun

all of the miles between us close in, until there are none.

Behind store front glass is where he resides,
as millions of people come strolling on by.
The man is affixed, cannot wave his goodbyes,
and he lusts for a glare through his frothy grey eyes.

His feet, they are bare. His hair stays the same.
Long days, and long nights, he watches in shame.
He dreams of the warm, supple touch of his dame.
As hes fitted again, "This months suit!" they exclaim.

So dapper he looks, and hollow his soul.
He gives them his best, in his suit made of gold.
Still they pass by him swift, never stop to behold,
The Manikin Man, in his glass front abode.

Lachrymose and Lies
You actually considered it and for what?
A change of scenery?
Because leaving town means leaving me without having the guts to say it to my face
Because you'd see my heart stop like it did and you'd only get mad at me for it
I've never hated you before but I hate you so much tonight
Part of me wishes you'd still go
You considered it
Dropping your ******* wife like a cigarette **** so you could enter a smoke free building
Don't think I can forgive you for this
Now, tell me you understand
I'll always love you but I can't ******* breathe
