Indigo Morrison
You have taken the lovely bits of me and compiled them into this beautiful being. You have forgotten the ***** bits, or detached them from your perception of me... and that isn't fair. With this, you are saying that the whole of me cannot be loved ...Please take me down from your pedestal.
Please let me breathe on level ground.
I am still quite busy ascending from ashes into something that could put out the marvel, the adoration you have for the sun.

-Indigo Morrison
She can't stop
It's uncontrollable
She just wants to turn it off
She just wants a switch
Turn them off for good
All emotions...
Especially love
For forever
It only causes her pain
Unrequited love
The worst of all
"Friend Zoned"
Backed against the wall
Last attempt
Wasted down the drain
She watches it swirl down
Then drops the knife
Sinking sowly to the ground
No heart + No life
= nothing, empty
and she's finally happy

Just Melz
They walked
hand in hand
Guided by truth
And a neon sign
One gloriously overjoyed
The other done with life
You see...
He chose another
And she chose a knife
Yet, fingers locked
They walked
Together
Towards the bright light
No destination in sight
Just faith
One considered fate
The other thinking it's too late
Talking, laughing
Crying, begging
To the end of time
One looking forward to
The other trying to decide
As they talked
Hearts interlocked
Together
Hand in Hand

They Walked

I could stay here..forever
Reading all your poems
Digging deep into humanity
Knowing pieces of human heart
Of pain
Joy
Sorrow
Anger
Desires
Love
I love to write
But I also love to read
Letting words fill the deep longings of my heart
Thanks to all poets who live real lives.

AllAtOnce
when you look at your day and see that you did things right
and you're still smiling, even after midnight
when you can step on the monsters as you walk out the door
these are the nights that I live for
when the stars are out and you can sleep
because you're not afraid of your dreams
when every piece of yourself isn't at war
these are the nights that I live for
when the scars you feel are barely there
you can end the night with a prayer
for tomorrow to be like the day before
these are the nights that I live for
when you can stay up talking to someone you haven't seen in ages
and you're still inspired to write pages and pages
when everything is forgotten on the floor
oh these are the nights that I live for
"Pain turns hope into scars that burn"* ~~ *Rose

Painfully aware
Of things I see
And I do not dare
Touch what I believe
One single caress
And hope diminishes
What you're left with
Is empty promises
And unfulfilled wishes
The remnants of faith
Are simply ugly markings
Left upon your body
Causing a fire of darkness
And smoke rising
Made of sadness
That disappears
Into the atmosphere
Until you're left with...

Absolutely nothing
Quoted line from "I Killed Her" by Rose, for Frank's "Let's Do A Line!" challenge. This was the first poem I recall reading from Rose and I've been hooked on her poetry ever since then, thanks for the inspiration ***, love ya. :)

South by Southwest
How do you get me excited ?
When the evening breeze tares
my thoughts of you .
When the mental images taxes
my reason of right and wrong
When your words tease
my desires for you .
When I just crave your touch .
When I wish to touch your face .
To press lips together ,
savoring your breath .
To sigh heartwise without
the disguise of fear .
Take eternal the heaven of hugs
from your breast .
To share dreams that dance
like phantoms in the flames
of eternal love .
Weild the wild luster
embedded in my soul
from the ages past .
Longing in depth's decisions ,
made and bled ,
for a future truth .
My how you excite me !

We are critical.

We find flaws in
everything we see
because nobody
wants to write
about perfection,
even though sometimes
we wish we could just stay
staring into that
unblemished surface.

2. We are never satisfied.

We live our lives upon
mountains of
scrunched up
bits of refill and
ideas we gave up
trying to
express.

3. We never forget.

We write words about
eye contact made
three months ago
that we replay over
and over in our minds
even though it
stopped
being relevant.

4. We are fickle.**

Our emotions flash
from one
to the other
like strobe lighting that
disorientates us
until we feel as if
the world
will never be still.

5. We are exposed.

We don't know how
to keep our feelings
to ourselves so
we'll write them
down for
you to find
'accidentally'.

6. We are vulnerable.

We wear our
hearts on our sleeves
and won't lift a
muscle to fight back
if somebody tries
to break it
because we thrive
from the pain.

7. We will never stop.

We will never stop
feeling and
we will never stop
hurting,
we will never stop
breaking and
bleeding and
loving
even though the cycle
is endless
and we know what's
coming next.

We are addicted
to agony,
but we agonise
for the art.
It's worth it though.
