Arke
the flowers in my yard
each wilt one by one
without love fast and hard
the weeds 'come over run

poppies hang in shame
red petals fall off their bulb
I feel the silent cries of pain
as stems are crushed to pulp

the petals start to die and decay
but you seem to notice little
as long as one exists for play
it doesn't matter if it's brittle

so you pull and pluck and take
the things you once thought pretty
you can't hear a faint heart break
with the loud noises of this city

you tug and whisper far too loud
she loves me, she loves me not
the fog of simple minds will shroud
and twist and tease away a thought

Drenched in your kiss
Submerged in such bliss
Oh love,
Won’t you rain
Down on me?
Now that you know all of me
I hope you're not afraid
I'm a wreck, a mess, a basketcase
evil and pain-
I recognize their face
I seek not your pity
or sympathetic eyes
I just need you to love me
and tell me no lies
I was so afraid to let you in, but you welcomed my brokenness with open arms. Thank you.

If I leave your side
For just a little while
Maybe it won’t hurt me
When she makes you smile

Maybe if I leave you
My foggy mind will get clearer
And I will see you for who you are
Far less than superior.

Ever I have longed to take
your hand upon my palm
for all the nights I've lied awake
regretting what I had not done

in morning's rise I had believed
in cleansing of my thoughts
but removal I had not achieved
and was left with not a loss

now as ever, I long to take
under moments rash or calm
in days asleep or days awake
your hand upon my palm
love poem? how unusual. a lil one that i quite like, not sure why though -- as it is quite simple and quite trite. Oh well. I like what i like.

I feel I am stuck
With a bear in my hut
The forest - surrounding
Our friendship - enticing
We sit and drink tea
Like there’s nothing to see
We chat about the weather
and how it could be
There is meaning in absurdity
With insightful profundity
From a grizzly stream
words enter the scene
They're washing right over
The things we don't see
