I stare into the mirror.
What do I see?
A sack of flesh and bone
Powered by fear of death.
I lean in to examine my face.
What do I see?
A glittering mask ******* on by
The expectations of spectators.
I peer into the depths of my eyes.
What do I see?
My soul fading after each tick of the
Clock -- a race to be somebody.

As one doorway in life opens
It seems that another door has to be closed,
I tried for a while to balance it out
But I know all too well how this part goes.

I will spend more time at work
Less and less time at home,
Days without talking to you
I am now all on my own.

The hardest part is leaving you
But I have to do this alone,
I need to do something good for myself
No more talks on the phone.

But they say home is where your heart is
And I can not picture you anywhere else,
But here next to me
Helping me out.

I love you to pieces
You were where my mind went,
Until my promotion
Now my time is spent.

I am so lost on what to do
To stay or to leave,
All I know is one thing
I need to focus on me.
its days like these
i wish my life was an ease

do i only make it harder
harder on myself
allowing all thoughts
to stutter through my day

its days like these
that every thing goes wrong

do i only see it that way
that every thing ruins my day
when nothing has tremendously gone wrong

its days like these
i wish i could easily take a walk
to make all the racing thoughts stop

do i only let them continue
letting the brain’s juice stew
you and I stood in
silence

our hearts joined
as *one

Love is like
pressing into your skin and
leaving a mark.
Love is like
riding a hundred roller coasters
in one day,
and remembering the feeling
as you lay in bed at night.
Love is like sitting in the ocean
and letting the waves push you
and tug on you,
and remembering the way
they fought over you on your
way home after
sunset.
Love in engraved on your skin
and sketched into your brain,
love can not be unfelt
only forgotten with
time, time and
more time;
and maybe not even then.

Time is a hallway, long and thin.
Open a door and see what's within.
See beauty or horror who knows what's inside.
Some are dreams that were left to die.
You will see laughter and glee.
And people who never were all they could be.
The disease of wallowing through time.
Is getting lost every night.
When you see someone who needs your help.
Do you spend you time or go someplace else?
Because the hallway is only so long there is an end.
Say goodbye to dreams, hopes, and friends.
For at the end of the hallway you see.
Is a coffin, waiting just for me.

He said, “I want you.”
I then asked him, “Why?”
“You’re carefree about everything,
“And you always make me smile.”
I frowned at his answer
Not even knowing how
He had found it so quickly
Without figuring me out
I then knew that was the only side
He saw and would like to see
And I don’t want to pretend for someone
Who wouldn’t want the rest of me
