we, humans, are so strange-
we fall in love so easily,
we hurt so easily
yet we won’t forgive as easily

Silent stillness.
Emeralds hang from the treetops,
glinting in milky rays of
a peeping sun.
Juicy buds gather,
tinkling birdsong amidst
the newborn canopy.
White sea-foam of
elderflower and meadowsweet
spray the grassy banks.

Think of your favourite place.
I think mine would be the grassy downs
Where you’ll see a kestrel hovering,
Where I’m guaranteed an hour of peace,
Where in summer dandelion clocks
Sway silhouetted against
A golden sun.
Where I’ll be home.

The colour of fir seeps over the water
A bright spritely white tail dashes past
Home to it’s tea.
Mirror glass ripples as
It’s mist gently rises in the dusk
To form the dew that soaks the grass at sunrise.
Brilliant arcs swell behind
Coots tending the nest.
Blackness has nearly set upon the lake
A ghostly orange tinge on the
Horizon signals the dying of the day
Cold fingers and brisk steps.
Willows make rainbow archways
From bank to water
Lime green fronds dragging the current.
The platter of water drenched moss and spatter on stone,
Blossom trees fit to burst
Dozing in purple twilight

On my exploration, there are still secrets
that kept under my  sleeves; it would be a
twisted knife in my defenseless night.

Between the heaven and sea,
there are traces of him, keeping me
haunted and wandering at it.

Between the orbs and galaxies,
we're building towers,
we're praying and pleading for a myriad miracles,
I nestled gently on his lips,
it was all downhill.

Baby satellites to bear

What crushes me in you being the one
   you did witness all of time struggling
everyone bothered to see us together
   an uneasy study unless we except I wasn’t
just made me mad our world was ending
   my soul gave up on me trying to hold you
a cowards way out of courage
   found my truth what makes it powerful
 or just how we became deflowered
   deaf signs for love is to kiss the backhand.

  
Slow down to the sea in just our sheets    
   cappuccino beaches to wonder by
everything heard believed naively
   bemoaned these fragile glassy eyes
arrangement by my parents who to marry  
   anxiously interrupting my sweetheart love
unravelling our decisions to throw us in
   truly alone without you one trickle stresses
By the thousand falls in life we lose
   ruggedly kiss until we’re through.

My palm pressed to your chest
I connect to your energy
Your heartbeat, warm and familiar,
Is the rhythm of love and of you
You glide your nose along mine
A soft connection of energy
I am brought to my knees
By such simplicity
The way that you smile
When I tell you you're pretty
That freckle on your hand
I can't help but kiss
I'd hold you in my arms forever if I could
As our souls sleep hand in hand
I breathe you in like nicotine
And I want to give you everything
Support, peace, and space
Safety, love, and grace
