stone - repost
GaryFairy Sep 2015
i am the stone that is thrown
that hits the water
causing a ripple
a tiny wave
across a giant ocean
touching shore
washing over tiny particles
molecules and micro-organisms
drowning some
bringing life to others
i wrote this for the singer Daniel Mustard

it's getting scarier by the HOUR
OUR world will never see PEACE
PIECE by piece we're overpowered
overpowering us as our fears increase

we sit idle as hatred BREWS
BRUISED by the war torn SCENE
SEEN as only pawns to lose
losing all of our hopes and dreams
i capitalized the homophones for beginning writers, who may not know what a homophone is

come alive and decipher the wiser
burn higher, with a fire in every fiber
try to find the mind of a survivor
guide your time like the stride of a tiger
leave behind the life of a fighter
you're defined by the ride and the rider
out of line to slide with the viper
let light shine through eyes of a spider
try to be advised by your desire
take no sides besides the side that is lighter

seeing how self centered i am
means i'm more self centered than I thought
i find myself buying my words
then i give away the words i bought

poking the monster that lives inside
then loving the monster i fought
i find myself catching a beast
then releasing the beast that i caught

i guess that's just the way i am
i try to learn what can't be taught
i just bring my heart and my words
then i give away the words i brought

i have never been sophisticated
sophistication just never related
relative to everything i hated
hatred of the over-stated

i have never been materialistic
materialism isn't a characteristic
characterized by a mind that's realistic
realize, i am not hedonistic

i never gave a **** about tradition
traditional is subject to my definition
defined by my own composition
composed of passion and ambition

i just can't breathe in here, my head is spinning
i believe the stale air is thinning
i get no answers to the questions i'm sending
black magic love spells are trending

i read poems. but never reach the ending
they lead me back to the beginning
i feel so guilty of the time i am spending
black magic love spells are winning

(11-9-12-8 syllable count for both stanzas)
I noticed that one of the spammer advertisements was trending in the feed(along with a lot of dead poets), so i wrote this. This site gets

i think i need to move to outer space
spacing myself further from the human race
racing away at an astonishing pace
pacing myself toward stars of grace
gracing me with a solitary place
placing me within the galaxy's trace
tracing my roots in a self finding chase
chasing comets to see my own face
a double quantum has rhymes in the first and last words of each line, besides the first line...also, the last word of each line must be used as the first word in the next line, but in a different form

clueless versus innocence
there really is no difference
one is polite and one is offensive
neither is based on resistance

do you want to remain nameless?
blameless, i guess is subjective
like a fire pit that remains flameless
our language is defective
we have so many words that mean the same thing as another word... still, we choose to take the same meaning, and make it a put down...but only toward the ones that we don't like

don't get up-ended by an opinion
its your choice, its your decision
give attention to the world you live in

don't get caught up in the occasion
in the equation of living in cages
give attention to the cage you rage in
but creation invaders have no persuasion

being a poet
GaryFairy Aug 2015
being a poet, i live through the words
i transplant emotions i've found
no matter how they think it's absurd
these words keep pouring down

being a human, i'm cursed with these thoughts
what else am i to do?
i write them down to untie the knots
just trying to think it through

being a poet, that's for the birds
i try to sing to the clouds
i set my pain free through my words
the words i can't say out loud
GaryFairy Aug 2015
(You made this monster)

invented by provided feelings of reverence
forced to difference without relevance
with resemblance to hands of elegance
evident difference, deliberate severance

(it is so hard to ****)

envious enemies with torches of treacherous
eloquence lost when pestilence is generous
serpent like in genesis, tenaciously venomous
fighting the exodus against shields of credulous

(and the tower burns)

ignited by chemicals of nominal assessment
tower of suggestion is now infested
where questions and statements are incessant
born by resentment, this basement investment

========================================================

i walk the streets with arms outstretched
never meeting touching grace
i haven't met a decent monster yet
the greenest monstrosity in this place

we are all only pieces left
stitched organs, sewn parts
a dug up heart in my chest
could come alive with some sparks

i haunt these streets of broken dreams
another life to survive
i'm just a being, beyond their screams
it lives, it's alive

the body of frankenstein
GaryFairy Aug 2015
I'm not that bad of a guy
at least no one can say I never tried
is there something wrong with my mind?
just because I cry when I watch Frankenstein?

I find myself walking around blind
sometimes I see them run and hide
"look out!" "he's not our kind!"
I feel their torches burning from behind

maybe I'm just ****** up inside
people ask me if somebody died
I tell them "that's what I'm trying to find"

a wolf in wolf's clothing
GaryFairy Aug 2015
to the pack, he was a menace
killing their cubs for their pelt
his instinct was relentless
he didn't care about the pain they felt

on the trail of chasing vengeance
nose to the ground, he caught the smell
he found a scent that is endless
left alone to howl and yelp
.
.
.
just a wolf in a wolf's clothing
eyes that focus on his own tail
chasing circles of fear and loathing
he can never cover his own trail
.
.
.
even the sheep are growing weary
this illusion gets their goat
no more hate, no more fearing
on his own tail he chokes
if you are going to constantly attack others, at least be poetic about it

forest of demise - rewrite
GaryFairy Aug 2015
she crawls slowly through the mist
in the forest of demise
where the dark paths turn and twist
hidden from the open skies

once she invites you in
she brings you to your knees
like a thorn across your skin
like the sting of a thousand bees

where secret screams exist
going there would be unwise
the lips of pain are gently kissed
as another victim cries

she lives within the caves
and she crawls beneath the grass
digging shallow graves
for the lives about to pass

she whispers like the wind
blowing through the trees
where she lives within
she is the haunting breeze

if you find yourself in her midst
never look into her eyes
just pretend she doesn't exist
don't be the next who dies
a friend told me that they liked this version better, so i decided to post it...feedback is welcome, and i would like to know if this six stanza poem is better than the original three stanza version

hire a bird - by think tree
GaryFairy Aug 2015
The sun will burn a hole right through
your parasols
The clouds so sick they've split in two
from aerosols

The air will fill your lungs with fists
for ev'ry breath
'til future days when life exists
to mirror death

So you're wondering why
They put heaven on high
Why the gods don't visit us anymore
And you lift your eye
To the deep blue sky:
The only way out is up

And so you hire a bird to sing your songs
And you buy her a tree to start things off
And you wire the words through lines of leaves
And you hope that she shows when comes the sun
She may never sing
She may never show
But you don't know

The lake, the sea: the tireless gloves
where nature's hand
Still holds her sceptre far above
her *******, man

The shore where centuries of sand
through waves have raced
Invites a swim, but think where man
deposits waste

So you're wondering why
They put heaven on high
Why the angels tolerate pillowy floors
As you lift your eye
To the birth of blue sky:
The only way out is up

And so you hire a bird to sing your songs
And you buy her a tree to start things off
And you wire the words through lines of leaves
And you hope that she shows when comes the sun
She may never sing
She may never show
But you don't know
this is a song by Think Tree
