We all walk the same
stuck in the trance of regrets
anonymous paths
tried to run from it all
hiding wasn't a safe place
till you find your strength
We all walk through the same feeling of pain,
just in different anonymous paths

Own your beautiful battle scars, they are to be cherished not to be shamed off

When my rib cage splits open
and displays the rotting creature inside
will you still love me?

When my bones are replaced with
flowering hemlock and nightshade
and my blood turns to muck,
Will you still love me?

When my skin becomes ash, my hair
turns to vines and my feet grow roots,
Will you still love me?

When nature prevails
and I am no longer me,
I must ask this of you:
Will you still love me?
together
the first flower bloomed
with her sisters
we watched it waver
as storms weeped
and weathered
we planted more seeds
of glowing hope
wishing, one day
we could see
it flourish
into a beautiful garden
we could explore
forever

When you fall,
you learn to rise alone.

When you fall,
you learn to overcome alone.

When you fall,
you learn about yourself.

When you fall,
you learn about the people around
you.

When you fall,
you learn more lessons.

can i tell you a secret?
some days, when the sky is its darkest hue
and the clouds are a light gray-blue
i write poetry.
it's all about you.

They say opposites attract.
It's even proven by science.
Two poles will always
fit together like puzzle pieces,
like they were made for each other,
while two poles from the same place
will always repel each other
no matter how hard you try
to force the two together.
Everyone I know dreams
that their soulmate will be just like them,
that they'll be able to bond
over similar stories and interests.
But I'll be out there
looking for my polar opposite.
Because if I can't trust my heart,
I trust science.
This poem reminded me of how my sister and dad used to fight all of the time because they were both the same people inside. They hated each other so much and I think it was because they both saw themselves in each other's eyes.

And with a sincere smile,
she looked to the stars
knowing the future was worthwhile,
even, with a thousand scars.

Monsters

When I was little
I was scared
Scared of the monsters living under my bed
I used to hide, under my blanket
Under my blanket, I was safe
The monsters couldn’t reach me under my blanket

My parents used to say
The monsters would go away
I would grow up and that then they would leave

But I grew up
And the monsters didn’t leave
Turns out my monsters, grew with me
Now instead of under my bed
The monsters live inside my head

So I hide, under my blanket
Where I think I am safe
Wondering if after all this time
My blanket can still keep the monsters at bay
I thought if I could swallow the stars
I’d be as beautiful as the evening sky
I tried one night    with fireflies
They burned my throat
Their legs striking at soft flesh
But my skin did not glow
No moon crawled from my eye sockets
I was left with corpses in my stomach
I soon learned I would only ever be
A cemetery

This is the truth:

I was garbage within garbage at the bottom of the sea.
Filth - drowned - as it is meant to be.
But He brought me up and cleaned me off.
I tasted the sun and knew: it was love.
