We exist
In the spaces between the lines
In the pages of a story
That we write at different times

We live
In the subtle phrases
In the corners of a poem
That we read in early morning

We love
In between the moments
In a way we can't quite say
That we know is far too dangerous
When God created you,
He threw away the mode,
You are who you are,
Your Blessings are foretold,

He made you very special,
He made you very wise,
You are so very unique, and
the Apple of His eye

You are so ordinary,
That people just don't see,
God made you in his image,
and so abundantly.

So, always remember,
just look around and see,
We are All God's creations,
You're genuine, the Ordinary!!!

I want to take the role of the leader
But not in an ordinary manner
Not as the glowing lionhearted fighter
More like the calming heart healer

I will take care of my own pack
Protecting souls from dark attacks
Stepping in, when time cracks
Reaching out, when valor lacks

But know that you can form me
I want to be the way you need me
In your eyes, the best i can be
In my eyes, the one you may believe

Seeing lights about to shatter
Moves my heart to solve the matter
In joy and fever we shall shine together
Together, wherever, whenever, forever...

What an irony—
an over-prepared traveller,
first at check-in,
practically airport-camper—
sprinting, breathless,
for the only flight
that truly matters.
Bring what you can—
No luggage claim planned

Someday you will cry for me
Like I cried for you.
Someday you'll miss me
Like I missed you.
Someday you'll need me
Like I needed you.
Someday you'll love me,
But I won't love you.
The world at peace.
Will it ever happen?
Perish the thought, you say.
Are you happy with killing?
Kisses are sweeter.
But bombs deal death instantly.
Sorry, but love lasts forever.
Why this bizarre dance?
Dizzy dances, you say?
Why not lifetimes of love,
glorious days, dreams of delight?
Why not kiss a bomb turning it
into red roses? It's not magic.
It's love everlasting.

"oh, you've shaved your head"
she said
"new look?"
"yeah"
I replied
"I call it: non-seminoma"
"I now belong to that rare club"
"must be fun"
she snorted
"it is"
and I was glad at least
she was not a gravedigger

someone told me I can't be broken because we were never we.
you were never mine,
I was never yours.

I payed so much attention to what we could be
over what we were,
and now we're nothing.

its like we never laughed together
played together
sang together
or just simply sat together.

we had a together but we were never together.
we had something but now we're nothing.
we were never we.

I hurt.
not because the pain of your absence,
but the pain of what could have been.

The sky was
cloaked
in gray.
the clouds
were weeping.
As I walked today,
tears began to
fall on me—
and they made
me fertile.
I saw golden leaves
lying crushed,
flattened
by footsteps
that never paused.
Nature often
held me,
gently even when
she grieves,
And I wondered—
If God had told us
That fallen things
were sacred,
Would we
have loved
them better?
Would we
have tread
more lightly?
Seen beauty in
their break?
Found grace
In letting go?
Would we
have stopped
Before the
bruised things—
Not out of pity,
But reverence?
On sharp stones
Lay orange
flowers,
Their sleep
just ending—
As if they were
still dreaming
Of the sun.
And in their quiet,
Something
inside me
softened, too—
A stillness,
A small bloom,
A reminder
That even
broken things
wake beautifully.

a fallen apple, bruised;

Son de abril las aguas mil.
Sopla el viento achubascado,
y entre nublado y nublado
hay trozos de cielo añil.
Agua y sol. El iris brilla.
En una nube lejana,
zigzaguea
una centella amarilla.
La lluvia da en la ventana
y el cristal repiqueteo.
      A través de la neblina
que forma la lluvia fina,
se divisa un prado verde,
y un encinar se esfumina,
y una sierra gris se pierde.
      Los hilos del aguacero
sesgan las nacientes frondas,
y agitan las turbias ondas
en el remanso del Duero.
      Lloviendo está en los habares
y en las pardas sementeras;
hay sol en los encinares,
charcos por las carreteras.
Lluvia y sol. Ya se oscurece
el campo, ya se ilumina;
allí un cerro desparece,
allá surge una colina.
      Ya son claros, ya sombríos
los dispersos caseríos,
los lejanos torreones.
      Hacia la sierra plomiza
van rodando en pelotones
nubes de guata y ceniza.

you dance
ill be the shadows
in your hair at the party
ill be the tinsel
on your dress
or the embers
lingering from the fireplace

you smile
ill be the sweet fruit tea
in your red cup
and the lollipop stick
you chew
long after
the candy is gone

I believe I have reached a point
of creative decline. Been on HP
since 2013. Close to 350 poems.
I may have thought and said
about all I have to offer.

Hard to come up with any real
original worthy material, the
old well might have run dry.
Or maybe my brain is growing
addled. That happens in our 80s.

In idle times I will still look in
on you all. I have enjoyed my
time here and made some fine
and talented writer and poet
friends. Thank you.

Adieu good and gentle people.
No illness or anything dire.
Just tired. I am thinking of
taking a pottery class.

I read here yesterday

City fein is a tormented gurl... beauty lost in her own predicament years ago

Van Morrison's her twines disregard

Now we take crawling in my skins thru the scotch on the rocks tapeworm repair ports of love

The aspirin induced commatic fall out joys need coffee and pizza and all amenities by concierge time

It runs the nights
The fright of friendship
Won't became how
Home feels how?

We stopped and talked
And stayed the fight
In nights escapes
We watch the sun
And not another fall

Death....a common event amongst mankind and yet, tears still shead like leaves in the autumn, as the last breaths of a loved one's are deprived from us . Their souls, grasped by the boney hands of death.

He is not our enemy nor a friend, but he is a symbol of both sadness and freedom. Only to appear when a soul has left it's newly empty shell. He takes them in as his own steering them into the direction of their next life.

“Some people come from nowhere and become family.”
It’s not always blood that builds a bond — sometimes it’s shared laughs, silent support, and showing up when it matters.
The moon is a clock face
rushing through the sky,
night turns to day
as I slowly walk by
the piles of past mistakes.

Rubble crumbles and
time runs backwards,
I can fly here.
I can dance on the sun.

I reach out my palm
to catch a tooth falling from my mouth,
and try to push it back into my gums.

On the school bus again,
embarrassed and naive.
Turn around and everyone
is laughing at me.

Have to **** so bad,
finally a bathroom.

The ****** welcomes me,
I pull out my **** to ***,
sweet release. Such relief,
but something is wrong
with my stream.
It's going everywhere,
spraying my hands and knees

and that's when I wake up.

****** the bed again, it seems.
Writing's worse,
Music doesn't work,
Talking to you helped,

I guess I didn't want to hear,

What I knew you'd say

Precocious baby, tempered to a china-blue hue, you
Had not been ripe as a morning glory
Before riots mongered in the plasma of your shapeless head.

Haunting as an omen, you
Had drank from the cord of my cold-blooded artery.
Turned my insides out like a shimmering dime bag
As we fell to the earth.

than a spendthrift of time
unaware of what truly mattered
He wasted his words
full of worry and regret
then wore them
as clothes torn and tattered

I may not feel safe in this world but I am where she feels safest in this world

To be the universe in two tiny blue eyes
Oh what a gift and a cruse

Years of wishing of death to give birth to the fear of immortality.

Not because I don’t want to abandon this world : yes I do but because I never want to abandon you

Oh what a burden to want to die but I cannot because I exist as the apple of your two little blue eyes

Sonnet.

Une musique amoureuse
Sous les doigts d'un guitariste
S'est éveillée, un peu triste,
Avec la brise peureuse ;

Et sous la feuillée ombreuse
Où le jour mourant résiste,
Tourne, se lasse, et persiste
Une valse langoureuse.

On sent, dans l'air qui s'effondre,
Son âme en extase fondre ;
- Et parmi la vapeur rose

De la nuit délicieuse
Monte cette blonde chose,
La lune silencieuse.
there a fairy in my garden she visits me at night
i know when she is there her wand it has a light
flying all around flying round the plants
on the edge of my pond she does  her fairy dance

she wears a gown of white a tiara on her head
flies along the borders of my flower bed
just before the dawn she flies in to the sky
waves her fairy wand as she says good bye

Bigotedly, I held the same view,
Pacing a tank domestic and half-full
As the airbag now sprung from the hemisphere of my lungs,
Stone-hard and hysteric in the cradle of your palms.

If heaven had visiting hours,
I'd come and meet you by the flowers

I would give you the biggest hug
I'd cry enough tears to fill a pouring jug

I'd tell you I love you and miss you,
It's all I can do.

It hurts so much I'm on my knees
But I know in time it will ease.

You seem happier here, you're no longer suffering
Thats all I want for you,
my love for you will forever be true
Dedicated to my Sweet Boy Fletcher.
