I awoke to rain on my second floor window;
An overcast sky and tossing trees,
Glimmering leaves above tar-black streets.
I opened the window
And felt the light breeze against me.
I watched the droplets fall on my hand.
Splattering carelessly:
A downpour of tiny suicides.
So I closed the window,
And I took a cold shower,
And as the water poured onto my head
I stared down at the drain
Wondering,
How it would feel to clean this broken skin,
And fall away
Into oblivion,
Only to be reborn
Falling from the sky.

SUBJECT: What crosses your mind?

Late at night, what crosses your mind?
As you lay down to rest
And your mind overflows in darkness

What thoughts or worries come through?
Does your heart rejoice with thankfulness?

Is damage the phrase that doesn't let you rest?
What is it that makes you toss and turn like a wave?
Do you think about what you left behind?

Late at night, what crosses your mind?
Do you worry about what's ahead?
Do you worry about what’s aside?
Do you have any regrets?

Perhaps, you have not realize your own pain
Which causes you to toss and turn like a wave

Next time you toss & turn
Don’t hesitate to ask yourself
Why?
What makes me toss & turn?
"If you haven't lost what you have embrace it."

There is just something
about your eyes.
Something hypnotic,
refreshing.
I don't know what it is.
But every time I look into them
everything is erased,
everything but you
everything but me
everything but us
and isn't that beautiful?
I don't know. It's 3:28 in the morning and I'm tired and evidently quite sappy, so for my own good I'm gonna go to bed now. ^^

1.
just go away.
i'm only doing my job and you know that.
these pills that you make me take clean me out of everything that you are convinced is wrong with me
i am not a ******* garbage can.
you can't just rid me of my insides every time you see something you don't like.
if anything, you are the cause of this newly formed rot on my exterior.
developed from some of the 309 words of my friend, Ariella.
this is the first of many poems like this to come.

it didn't take long for you to realize that i am a sucker for anything that rhymes.
you could woo me without even making physical contact.
i was on my knees, begging for more, and you expertly delivered stanza after stanza of lies that you recited thousands of times to other girls just like me.
once you got what you wanted, you didn't even bother to put me back on the shelf so that others could find me.
you left me, slumped on the ground like a rag doll, my knees ****** and bruised beyond recognition.
i'm so glad you're gone.
