There's aunts all over
my kitchen floor

Mother says they're awful
for the cookie badder

Oftentimes, we live in a processed world
but it's beyond my apprehension

Just please read me the recipe
or draw me a diaphragm
Poem challenge by Jennifer McCurry,
write a poem using malapropisms.
17
Gateway to adult is 17.
Desired yet forbidden
flattered and unsure
keep them hidden.
Boys swim around you
smelling woman's blood
you blush each month
enduring the flood.
I have the distinct feeling
I've been here before.
But it's not déjà vu this time.
Just boredom.
Let's swim about, Peter
Mimic my sound

Speak my language
You precious bottle-nose

The trouble you have
With the letter M
Sure makes funny bubbles
Beneath the surface

What then should we talk of
This morning?
Miss Kelly, perhaps

Every room
Is an island, my child

Never isolate your love

Let it run to the sea
It's where I will always be
Thomas W. Case's Historical Figure Poetry Challenge, Margaret Howe Lovatt. In the 1960s, she took part in a NASA-funded research project in which she attempted to teach a dolphin named Peter to understand and mimic human speech. This while living in a half-submerged dwelling to have continuous contact with him.
I live my life just for this,
I will light up all the stars.

To extent blur moon,
I'll give rise to flash for.

that hide staring,
To me, from afar...

One after the other,
I'll break the all-stars.

Maybe, it will arise,
If my all-stars are broke.

That dimly lit moon,
There will always be light.

Are all's...🍁
you aren't real
so you fade away.

what isn't real
will never remain.

I made you real
inside my mind
I gave you colors
I made you shine.

I made you real.
I made you feel.

A no-man's land,
ablaze in scarlet

A no-man's land,
the blood and the bones of men

The more who died,
the more they thrived

A no-man's land,
flowered along the banks
from which the dead drank,
to forget their former existence,
when they were singing
in the lulls

A no-man's land,
offering a touch
of Heaven in Hell

My wife has eyes in the back of her head
So I got her into hats
I was given Carte Blanche
To fail spectacularly
At unlimited endeavors
And I utilized that perquisite
With determined concentration
To the maximum that it allowed.
I’m waiting for my banquet.
And the silver plate award.
