these blushed florets
weave daydreams
and love poems;

but in truth,
these blossoms
can be anything
you want them to be;

the magic only appears
when the heavenly body
calls them out
to celebrate
joy, sorrow, and love.

it’s the beauty of reason
that we give them

that makes a flower
a flower,

and a human,
triumphant.

I know what I felt
A string tied from your heart to mine
That is the only explanation
For why I can’t get you off my mind
The strings are tugging on each other
They’re stretching too far
That is why
I want to be where you are
Striving to be the best so loud and proudly may work for some
But for me it is through silence that I achieve more
Work in silence, your success will make the noise.
Besides, I find the appeal of keeping people guessing, haha!
Much love,
Lyn 💜
Mid-October,
with leaves spilled
like colored pencil shavings ---

the streets dicing our town
into neat, unfair portions ---
and me, eatin' that *****.
I had too much wine
He ate all my white truffles
That crude selfish boar

Sometimes the pain is so intense
That people forget to smile
Sometimes you're so tired
You lose all the interest
Sometimes the wait is so long
Your words value doesn't matter
Sometimes your body doesn't
Carry the weight which normally carries
