I think I figured something out
Math teachers are, well,
Vampires
They find pleasure in ******* your soul out
Slowly draining the life out of you
By making you do countless
Long and complex equations
Until you are simply put,
A mindless zombie under their command
Just one of many in their legion of the undead
Continuously reciting number after number
nineteen, seven, thirty-two, twenty-five
x squared minus nine equals twelve
His unchanging face, fangs and perfect teeth
Of course don't help his case very much
They just help me prove that math teachers
Are infact, Vampires

Shackles breaking down
fire dancing around dead ash
the final farewell.
I wrote this short  poem about one particular scene in the movie Daybreakers, where the vampires are shackled and being led in to the light where they are set on fire and become ash.

Vampires,
Sneaking through the night,
Hiding in the shadows,
Stalking humans,
Searching for human blood,
Humans hiding and fighting,
Nobody knows who wins,
Vampires are not very common any more,
But I see Vampires.

After spending days away from her,
Thinking I could resist her,
But now it's just her blood,
My throat aches for her blood !
Just a quinch of her blood and I can relax.
Her white skin,
Her hazel eyes,
And that scent !
Oh not the scent you're thinking about.
Her body odor.
It just drives me crazy.
I feel constrictions in my vein,
Making me wanna wail,
C'mon my love just a little of that blood,
I swear it'll finish the thirst !
Love vampires :')

I’m a shadow in the blackest night
You won’t see me walking by
A whisper where there is no light
Under dark and moonless sky.

A graveyard after midnight
An alley off a silent street
A universe devoid of light
Where truth and darkness meet.

Come with me, friend, and lover
Hear the blackness all around
Together we’ll discover
How to cry without a sound.

I will walk you through the dangers
And through years of deathless void
Let us kiss the necks of strangers
Thus more human life destroyed.

Dark of night, Black and white
Mystery and fright
Tales of secrets and horror ignite
Tonight, they tell a tale of a murderous night
In armor and claws and daggers and saws...
Hide and seek is the game of play
For he shall find his prey
But, in the shadows she must stay, or it will give her away.
Behind a door or curtain she must dwell
Terror and cries will condemn her to hell...
But now, she must flee, so she, can be free
Run away! Run away!
Oh no! She had gone and went astray,
She can't get away.
The sounds of floorboards creak in the dark
His footsteps loud with conviction and stark!
Closer and closer he comes to seek
Fear takes hold, her knees are weak
He's on the prowl with death in sight
She hears his breath and gasps in fright!
He turns and looks! his prey is in plight!
His strike is quick, the blood runs hot
Through his veins, it will not stop
He takes her life with fury and might!
And now all is quiet in the dark of night.
No mercy or dread
He, has now fed...
His victim is dead
For now,
His victim is dead
Revised~ It needed some changes.

They call us vampires
because the moon is our sun
and our day is their night.

They call us vampires
because all that we've done
to inspire true fright.

They call us monstrous creatures
for our pale, stone cold features.

They lock their doors, hide in fear.
They can tell when we are near.

Try not to listen when you hear us say,
"We are the hunters, and you are the prey."

Bats arrived
In the Ozark hills
Lived among
The people
Taking a human body
As the sun went down

Some got drunk
On homemade whiskey
Passing out
Getting trapped
By the bright morning sunrise
Turning to mere dust

Claret-stained kiss from maiden impure,
Cruel, burning pain, she craved more!
Hath taken my life from heaven’s eye,
Thy cankered night, in which I’ve died!
Written for a 25 word prompt challenge on allpoetry.
The word was "Crimson."

We thought we had the vampires done,
Cornered as we raised the stakes.
The fiends were caught against the font,
An end to this for all our sakes.
How foolish to believe
That the stake would push itself,
How blinded must we be
To think we'd help ourselves.

We fell back in confusion
As their eyes lit stars of blue,
Our fiery brand burned red in fear
But the flames sputtered out on cue.
We faced the devils in their line
But they withstood our empty threats,
And took us off one by one;
It was time to pay our debts.

They laughed at our misfortune.
And gave us back our forks,
They pointed at our dampened brand
And sent us back to work.
They drank from tattooed necks
And supped from elder veins,
And bled the middle dry
And fed upon their brains.

They tore up all our rights
And placed death upon a throne,
Who drove out justice in the night
While Liber's throat did moan.
They sold us all as slaves
To merchants draped in skin,
Cut from children's backs
As the devils slowed their spin.

So now we work until we drop,
Exhausted in our penury.
We're fed from blood banks on each street
While we think that we're still free.
The vampires grin within their church
And play at pious once a while,
And watch with glee as all they cut
Divides us up in our denial.
In May 2015, the UK gave a majority to the Conservative Party (Blue) in the general election, despite the polls predictions of a Labour (Red) government.  The circus leading up to the election was fascinating, as party leaders battled rhetoric on the stands, the people discussed tactical voting, and, in the final week, controversial comedian-turned-political activist Russell Brand publicly endorsed Ed Milliband, the Labour Party leader, for Prime Minister.  Not that it mattered, as the Conservatives managed to hold on to power in alarming fashion, with the majority of seats in the House of Commons turning blue overnight.  The country waits with bated breath to see what will happen next as the Tories, after five years of a coalition government with the Liberal Democrats, finally have the power to enact their plans...
