Even broken pieces can be melded together with enough kindness and love.
David Southbay Aug 2020
Life is a book of chapters
Each chapter has a different story of my life
I want you on each page and every chapter
To be part of me in my book of life
Forever

There will come a morning one day
when life will never be the same

Time will stay stand still
and there is no one to blame

Lives are taken away,
but no one could help them stay

While some folks will have no penny,
some will die hungry

Healing hands will have long nights
and warriors on the frontline will save our lives

There will come a morning one day
when life will never be the same

Humans will long for the warmth of skin
And want to talk to strangers more than ever

Food will became a love language
And homemade will become the new gourmet

Sky will be dust free
And trees will dance in the clear breeze

Furry friends will be in our arms all the time
And wilderness will wander free

Home will became our whole world
And the whole world will come together online

There will come a morning one day
When the whole world will be distanced apart
But closeness will shine afar...

Loneliness was never an emotion for me. It was more of... a state of being. Family was always a disappointment, friends were none existent, and what’s a stranger gonna do? I never lived in a life where I felt anything besides lonely that is... until I met you. You were a rose that couldn’t see the beauty of it’s petals, I guess we were alike in that since, because in your eyes I was the perfect women, where in my eyes I was a waste of space.  We spent days, weeks, even months together. I grew to love you and you? You learned that two people could be lonely together. But as my life shows, everything is temporary. And the words “I love you” where just a distant memory.

I do not love what you do,
I cannot fall where you fall.
This is the fate of us,
To be together apart

As you're lying next to me so still
I contemplate our life
So many years ago
you said you'd be my wife

As we rise in preparation for
another fruitful day
you smile and take my hand
beside me all the way

And as we run into life's obstacles
we've proven we're unstoppable

We both know we're at the threshold of
the winter of our lives
and yet we share the fear
since we're together dear

Still the time will come some future day
when one of us must go
I pray that it be me
but there's no way to know

And so we live to love another day
so happy that our lives turned out this way

It was the best day!
Now, this euphoric moment.
A day spent with You.
Gabriel Girault Jul 2020
Have you ever sat back and watched your whole world fall apart?
You spent hours,
Days,
Months,
Years,
putting it all together piece by piece,
brick by brick,
just to be helpless when it all comes down.
Watching it all crumble after all the hope and aspirations you built up for.
After seeing your future and carefully constructing exactly what you needed, just to see it disappear into the darkness you always feared.

You ever love someone with your whole heart and realized it wasn’t enough?
To live,
Love,
  Laugh,
so hard your worries become something of a distant nightmare.
You remember your depression as a figment of your imagination.
You loved so hard that they became your world.
Have you ever realized that you did all that you could do,
but it still ended unfortunately,
and all you want to do is reverse time and get them back?
But reversing time doesn’t erase your memories.
All the pain is still there.
Your world and love still left you.
Your feelings are valid
Your differences are unique

It's okay to feel assured when others don't
It's okay to step back when others sprint

Your feelings are valid
Even if it goes to extreme
It is still valid
not sure if it's a poem but just crumbs of my thoughts
