coiled together
a pair of corrupt serpents
to impair virtue

the eye perceives
much of the vile two's badness
hissing around here

they're well entrenched
within our locale's dwelling
doing as they please

Upon the soot-barren landscape
where serpents slither
in misery,
there are champions
of struggle
among the few trees
that defiantly grow
through the pollution.
We must only close our eyes
and open our minds
to sense them.

I laugh at those who are frightened or disgusted
as harmless snakes do slither past
But I have fears of a different kind of serpent
So few in the world suffer snake bites,
even less have injuries that last,
And I count myself in the number markless
But still I shuddered as curved shadows cast,
a spell of paralyzing fear,
As harmless humans did walk past

it's words I feared the most
though perhaps I'd rather face beration
than the teeth of hungry dogs
When dogs bark, I calmly bark them back
But with humans I'd sooner run away

I'm learning to not fear
as confidence builds
And I see my power crystal clear
Some say when you hold back your words you hold back your power, and that's what makes you sick. I think it's a little more than that, it's being unsatisfied with holding back your words, and letting the stress make you sick.
I'm realizing my own power, and I am learning to speak and be satisfied when I have not spoken.

Two serpents
in a frenzied
mating ritual,
we coil,
one around
the other
within and
outside
winding and
unwinding
heeding to a
command,
mysteriously
received,
ears open to a
music,that play
in a plane
beyond the
realm of mortals.
We are there
on the verge
of liberation.

Let he who is without stones commit the first sin
And you sip that whisky again and again

What images cloud your mental sky
Why am I the subject of your judgement
When you know not of my designs
Forego your ego and see, no, believe in her judgement

Don't you understand that there is no control
You don't want to let go
I know, I know, I know
But her life is her own

I promise I'm not the serpent you believe me to be
I won't disrupt the garden to turn over new leaves
Eden holds no fruit for me

This is to you, you know who you are
I beg you to listen to the voice within your heart
And to not pass verdict upon strangers from afar

Wrap the thorns around my wrists like serpents slithering for a feast;
the ones who breed to bleed me dry unknowingly making me feel alive.

I'll bathe myself in light from a masochistic moon and listen to shadows on the walls moan in pleasure,
a deadly pleasure
that echos through my haunted veins;
wrapping their legs around my waist
and running their fangs across my lips.

They dig their claws and I pull them closer
hiding a smirk that even they cannot see, for I'm the boy you can't destroy
as I make love to
demons in the dark.
I am in love with everything that kills me
