I'm sad from the rain,

without knowing: is this real --

genuine sadness?
Poem "Chove muito, chove excessivamente..." ("It rains a lot, it rains excessively…", 1914, Álvaro de Campos [Fernando Pessoa])

Collection "On the fly"
Valentin Eni Dec 2024
This sad poem was conceived and written in Burnley,
Where shadows linger, and the rain falls sternly.

An empty pub with an empty pint glass,
Black nights last long with its wild, bright eyes.

A one-eyed dog with lots of fleas
Sings the blues in seven different keys.

And time has flown since we met at sea,
A four-light-years-galactic-guilt is upon me.

I love you like a storm
Because that’s the way my love comes:
Pouring down.
this is my 135th poem, written on 11/30/24
my muse
my unspoken words
our antithetical stories
your charm
your goodbye before the dawn

i traced the lines of our fate
never aligned
the red string woven around
which seems too weak
your presence lingers around me
like a shadow

rain poured down before
before we became alive
before i let it out
before i could hold on
before you screamed it out
i watched you being washed away from my shore

i watch the rain
blurring edges of my side of the world
as i wait for it to cleanse my wounds
as i wait for it to blur my memory
as i wait to let go
Written in collaboration with another poet and her name is Deepali.
on a little evening walk
lost in my thoughts
wondering what others are up to
while i'm left behind,
crushed with my own thoughts

the sky turned dark
cool breeze begins to flow
peacocks are singing
trees are dancing
clouds are weeping

i'm completely soaked,
not moving at all
dark clouds that heal
i want to drown
to come out alive
Odd Odyssey Poet Nov 2024
To fall in love, I sense no perfect hour,
Yet breaking hearts can feel like a shower.
When love stops it’s rain- to fade,
It's a painful cascade,
Leaving sorrow where once bloomed a flower.
Odd Odyssey Poet Nov 2024
Sinking into your shadow – a stranger in this place. As the ink
smudged upon your lips; leaves your voice spellbound, those words
caught in a storm within your throat. These torrent of emotions
surging in my heart, resembles rain drumming upon the pavement –
frigid as a stone adrift in the river's relentless current; it ****** my
skin like a thorn.

Yet, the flicker of our love's promise remains, a distant glimmer,
a beacon in the vast expanse of night.

I find solace
in this relentless rain.
It embraces me,
relieves me of my pain.
Drenched completely through,
I start anew.
Not flawless
but forgiven,
true.
about forgiveness

You are not gonna rob my joy,
So, just get on out of my way,
Since you want to be a Killjoy.

Don't want to join, then see you Around!!!!
