They had nothing to give
To their motherland
Except their mortal lives
So they gave it cheerfully
Without a second thought
To see her wrinkled smile

Without a second thought

These road on which we stand today
Were built upon layers of stone
And skulls of warriors great
This freedom wasn’t free
Of cost. Their debt we must pay.
Each and every day.

Two brothers fought
None won
Both lost
Freedom exacted a dear cost

As the clock struck twelve
On that August day
From heaven the martyrs cried
Their dream
Their struggle
For which they died
Was finally realized

The dawn was breaking
It was history in making
The charkha of time had turned
After so many years
A nation was waking
Up

No more vibrant bazaars with vegetables lined across carts
No more shouts of vendors piqued with anticipation for the day's sell
No more selling of fruits and poultry to the hordes of families lining near a mandi
I must be on the wrong street, my memory fails me.
No more spices being sold for a day of solace from the midnight cries of a mewling child?
No more rabble of vendors that belong on fields, away from home and from their wives?
Is this even Delhi?
Oh! Look a tricolor map on a desolate stretch of empty push-carts
Why does that torn flag that unites us all hang low in humility?
Where are all the people of the city?
Is that my India putting on a broken disguise?
The only thing holding me together is my dignity
This poem is my take on the Delhi protests.

"Perhaps, Martin Luther King never had a dream,
but he had seen a dream.!!!"
This is a description of my theme;
Rhemes of his speech gathered steam,
which stimulate and create a remembered stream,
" I have a dream.!"

Nowadays, dreams are not the ones you get from a slumber steep,
but are those that deprive you of sleep.
I hope that one day our countries will no longer appoint leaders again, based on their individual gain.

Apart from their political parties, they come from,
but due to one single universal party, we are all going to form
Neither, for the agenda of their race, color nor religions,
But with an organized calendar, and tremendous visions.

The day we shouldn't be interested in their background stories;
popularity, prestige, and their wealthy glories.
not even their power, pomposity storied-houses.
Despite being the lineage of dynamic dynasties,
but just a human being with the visionary eyes for minorities'

One who should not focus on celebrities and Hollywood Stars,
but will celebrate with poverty-stricken, take them as the stars,
well recognized as the sons of the Sun'
helping the country economy shines,

Am looking forward to the election days,
The national quadrennial event, Tuesdays.
our voices will bring impact through our votes.
When we shall elect mentors, role models and not our Idols,

Am looking toward the day the financial crisis will fall through
when our leader's mission comes through.
Focusing on the fact of where they are heading us to,
and where they are taking our dreams too.

The dreams for our country's bright.
Rights and freedom for our countryside,
the ease for our forefathers' long century sight.
I can't wait for that day indeed,
my dreams will no longer be just like a dream,
but actually, film-strip with its factual receipt.
This is a dream of which I hope will inspire all those who are seeking change. As we are going for our coming election on Tuesday 2, Nov 2020. I hope this will help you determine, and have you make the best decision ever when voting for our leaders. be inspired

Ujjal Mandal, India, 15 August

For shame ! for shame !
The beings are not freed
Even today from
The ****** chain as the
darkness from the night;
They are under the same umbrella
Of Ego and Animosity.
We liberated our motherland
And we gave the Demon countless blood.
This poem is based on the Independence Day of India. All Indian patriotic brave children gave their life only for Independence from the ruler.  Finally  they got Independence in 1947, 15August.  But today here & there the animosity and riots pervade.  This is the key point of the poem.

It hard to be patriotic
While most of our rulers are psychotic
All their crazy has no end
They lock up the poor
Whenever they can

I won't salute their blood stained flag
Nor bow to their angry gods
I'll take a knee with Kaepernick
Now that's a worthy cause!

The lesser evil can fight it out among their selves
Dark money and propaganda are proportionate of their wealth
Corporations of greed destroying our precious planet
A war machine that kills millions to survive
Shall we just take all this for granted?
Our one percent are out of control and underhanded

Standby for a wave of american immigrants
Coming to your shores
"cause it's getting hard to be patriotic anymore.

i enjoy england

with its little houses
hips brushing, faces smushed
together to revel in quaint rumour
among gentrified lilies and pink
lady apples that blush in the summer

its walkways and alleys
dribbles of soft lamplight guiding
the drunkard, moth-brained and ill
with silk threads to a blind spot
of amber where muck can be spilled

the people on transport
with their airy talk, their mindless
silence, heads lolling idly on
windows, eyes crumpling like napkins
against the leaking crumbs of warm scone sun

pretty little England
where exploitation is vintage
and runs like rosé
down the dusty store windows

here we are free to stumble
down streets with sweat
in our hair and manic karaoke
reverberating off the walls
glee drinking is government protected

I'm quite in love with england,
this field of dew and white roses
fed by gore and sweet tradition
where fresh-faced, sunny children play.

I don’t just bleed Red, I also bleed White and Blue.
Those star-spangled colors might not run
But I know that mine sure do;
Not only for me but for all my kin under the sun.

I also bleed when a hero dies defending liberty,
Cause I know that Hero didn’t flinch
In the face of adversity
But stood tall not giving an inch.

I also bleed with those left fatherless,
Who bleed from an open sore
Being soaked with scarletness
feeling like they’re at Death’s Door

I also bleed red
Just like my parents
Who ask whats going on inside my head
To which I reply with blandishments.

Translation:
Oh my dear motherland,
I always bow before you.
You have loved and nurtured us,
Forever like your own children.

I grew up gladly in your civilized land.
This land is very benign and pure.

To my motherland, I salute repeatedly,
And I fully dedicate my mortal body.

Oh omnipotent Parameshwara,
As a citizen of this Hïnđū nation,
As a citizen of this civilized nation,
I bow before thy with full respect.

For the duty you assigned,
We're prepared and up buckled,
For its completion we need be blessed.

Give us such undefeated strength
That none can win over us and
Give us the softest modesty
That the world respects us.

This way is riddled with thorns,
We volunteered for the job
And we shall beautify this nation.

For achieving and attaining
Such high spiritual welfare
And such temporal plenty
Can only be achieved
Through patriotic valour
Burning saffron inside us.

The light of intense & seamless dedication towards our goal,
May it be kindled bright inside our inner minds forever.

May from your limitless grace,
This enlightened victory be ours
And protect it may our duty
For taking the national glory to the next level.

!! Victory to Mother India !!
