Slow progress
Better than rushed progress
Think about it

I learned lessons in the darkness
that I couldn't in the light.

First
that you don't have to shiver
    in the frosty winter bite.

Then
   that shadows are deceiving
so your faith becomes your sight.

Last
that flames will shine through boldly,
you must wait with all your might.

Learn patience
Like it's your first steps.

Learn to be patient with yourself.
Learn to be patient with others.
Learn to be patient with your environment.

You are
Always
Waiting.

Do so patiently.
Just need to hear this myself really

do not wait for the flower to bloom,
because when Spring comes around,
the flower will be too shy.

Last night, I waited.
I waited today.
I waited tomorrow.
I waited ‘till my days were filled with nothing but sorrow.

Last night,
I waited ‘till
My eyelids were held open by thoughts of you.
‘Till the grass was glowing iridescent with dew.

Last night,
I waited for you.

My dreams were filled with tears.
My night was filled with fear.
In constant dread, I wait.

I wait for you.
Days to weeks.
Weeks to months.
Months to years.

I soon turned to dust.
Leaving my aching bones crushed.
In my grave--
I rest, silently.
Patiently, and desperately waiting for you.
To join me too.

A nation that seeks to craft
what the forefathers draft;
a declaration of independence,
a nation of acceptance and coexistence.

A nation that weaves laws
for the ones of different colors,
wears,
and of worship —
building a homage for them all.

A nation with the vision of a blend of culture,
welcoming them into progressing lands  that play the tune of harmony
as blankets them in safety.

A tolerant nation
of multicultural lands,
and foreign tongues.
Building Seven Pillars
that stand tall and high
to inspire and ingrain
tolerance in every
crannies and nooks of the nation.

This is UAE.

I’m weeping,
I forgot how to love, I need you to reteach me.
Been abused so long my heart’s no longer speaking.

Want to tell you all of the secrets it’s keeping.
You’re being so patient, I know this isn’t easy.

A prisoner of my own past, I just wonder can you free me?
Tried to hide it so long, I’m so glad that you see me.

Love has been a travesty for years.
Everything I knew just disappeared.
I want to spend more time with you.
I want to love just like you do.

Apathy hit me so severe.
I want love to be something I revere.
Love came back on time with you.
So let me take my time with you.

The roses are dead,
they had barely turned red,
in the morning
I rose to them withered.

The sun made no sound
as it stood from the ground
to illuminate
the absence of life.

Oh, it stung like a thorn
to see this at dawn;
my heart shrivelled up
like those petals.

“They look red to me?”-
the others can’t see
those dead roses
that sit on our table.

“It’s all in your mind,
the roses are fine;
so are you,
if you give yourself time.”
