vibrant green field
so bright the grass
appears almost yellow
A comforting sun
shines upon it all
encasing it in Heaven

The pink roses
inside my white elephant
tea *** are Gorgeous.
The petals against the porcelain
a true work of art.

Gaze rests upon
red, red roses
encased in a purple vase
Hear warm, safe voices
A melody carried along
Words of affirmation, love, trust
Wind kisses
flowing through window
wrapped in its arms
tossed away

In the sunlight of Washington park
I write
Gold flicks and reflects
along my hair
My skin hot from rays
of warmth
over a prolonged moment
of peace
My life this time, is still moving,
For now, everything is up to me,
The directions, I decide to travel,
No certain place, where I have to be.
In my sixth decade, all alone,
My siblings, parents, the lady, I married,
Now all resting in cemeteries,
Never fathering any children,
No one to plan, make memories with,
Or hold my hand, happy or sad,
It’s up to me.
Surviving ok, many of my past journeys,
Led me to A brighter light,
When your always alone, you always feel,
You have one foot, in the darkness, of night.

Tonight is a Terrible, Silent Respite
From The Cruel, Cruel March.
The Brilliance of Sunlight's Beauty
Begins to Scar With Cracks of Dark .
The Echoes Of The Universe
Are Few And Far Apart,
And In This Of All My Treasured Moments,
I Wonder Where You Are?

The Pillars And Foundations Sometimes Fall
From So Many Things That Were Beautiful
And Tears I Weep As Light Escapes,
Kneeling Before The Fireplace,
To The Flames, Whose Soul Burns to Embrace
The Many Broken Parts Of Me,
That Can No Longer Be Replaced.
To Love Lost.
To The Friends, Now Gone.
To The Good In Me, Eroded.
And To The Man I Want To Become.
Where Are You?
I Need You.
As fireworks litter the dancefloor of our atmosphere
One can only hope that we remember
Who really ignites our passions
Continues our flames
Sets off sparks in our hearts
And takes care of the scattered remains
You are my independence from the hold of avoiding interdependence
I'll forever light a Roman Candle to wish for romantic thoughts up a star
Explosive, you are.

Not big on July 4th. Very big on explosiveness.
Sweet vanilla kisses, amid an explosion of bubblegum sauce.
With lips now blue, we break and share a flake;
The chocolate melting in our mouths,
Like my heart, the first time I met you.
“You’ve got a bit on your nose," I say.
Laughing, you wipe it away elegantly.
Fresh strawberries planted in eager mouths,
Excited eyes blazing in the sun.
This love is intoxicating.
Sinking satisfyingly into a strawberry bliss,
Summer love is planted on the tongue.
Savouring: the taste, the moment,
savouring the one.

Vinyl, old, crackle and turn,
Intimate moments scored into grooves;
Atmosphere burns,
A revolving truth.

Needle, record, goosebump skin,
Long played moments again and again;
Our favourite track
An unrepented sin.

Downhill after dark we took our nightly showers

Under the standpipe, dodging the cars light,

It was fun in those days, the life of the poor black child

The countryside, but the sweetest thing to remember,

Roast breadfruit, roast flying fish, roast corns,

It was fun in those days, for the life of the poor, young villagers

in today world it called Backyard Barbecuing with friends,

when we did it was called poor people way of cooking, and celebrating.

So often now and then,

it's good to go back in time

And relived, those awkward and happy moments

Only thing I detest was loading the sugarcane

On my head and going up the ladder,

The white man reap all the sweet

The black man bake under the sun.

Last month I sat in the most expensive Restaurant

And eat, lobster, drank expensive bottle of wine

I wouldn’t reveal the cost of the meal,

But, I always knew, that one day, this would

Have happen, from roast fish, on the hill of Prout Hill

To Washington DC exquisite night restaurant. MI*VIDA

And yes I made all of this happened:
living my life through poetry.
