Crickets sound in night
The hum of faraway cars
Greets my windowsill

Lanterns give off light
That blocks the sky full of stars
Some street cats quarrel

The air feels too tight
The hour like metal bars
Night too hot and still

Can't sleep 'cause I'm ill

ᴵ don't just undress me
unwrap me like a fresh bound
book straight from the press

ᴵᴵ then don't just kiss me
seek me for air and for warmth —
as you would the sun

ᴵᴵᴵ and don't just make me
feel good — savour me — show me
just how good I taste

They don’t hold your heart like I do.
They can’t.
They’re just standing in my grave.
You know you’re forever mine, right?

My younger self would
love that I watch the movies
she did too, back then.
Twilight on rainy days, unashamed.

Aching heart and mind
Needs touch of a caring soul
Yearning company.
this summer is not the best ive had out of all the years. just want time to go by fast.
Ink flows on the page
Whispers of stories so bold
Time held in each line
Revealing past deeds untold
Words act as a guage
Of our thoughts, from young to old
Baring through the age
When gazing on words untold
By turning each page
Growth of ideas unfold
Structured as a 5:7:5 haiku, but I tried to make it rhyme.

Body's heavy-rock
Mind's scattered all over
Bring me inner peace

Vow
I will sing for you
All my life will dance for you
And never think twice

Your chair stays untouched
I still set a second plate
Grief eats next to me.

behold the silent gift
to feel any lone soul roar
deeper than before
struggles of an empath in an ever decaying world
