In the sight of snowflakes
Landing on the trees
Sound of footsteps following away
No path is left and there's no right way

Shadow of the summer
Stalking down his prey
Quiet anger; but you can't say
By looking at his face

Not caring anymore what others think
Following his own pace
In the silent snowful forest
Slowly the sun stars to sink

In Xanadu did Whatsoever
a stately pleasure planet decree
Where Amazon, the sacred River run
through Forests, measureless to Man.

And here were trees tall as the sky
and leopards, snakes and
birds of the brightest colours.

But oh! Mankind began to burn the trees,
drill dramatic chasms, build walls and towers
Melt the polar ice and turn the oceans into lifeless seas.

So in this tumult, once,
a sixty nano metre string of RNA came,
invading thousands and thousands of humans
and prophesying the end of our kind.

A vision in a dream then I had:
a simple utopia of rare device.
Could we revive our lost ties with Nature
we would heal our world and soul

And so with voice loud and long,
with flashing eyes and floating hair,
I say: Hey you out there. Beware, beware!

Thick within the night
It holds your dreams back
Lurking in dim light
Waiting to attack

Down paths you flutter
By crumbs you were took
For the taste of butter
Back you’ll never look

day after day after day i long for her,
the beautiful greens in her eyes and the rough textures of her skin,
the way she glistens in the sun while the water weeps,
the cracking sounds,
the birds and the breathes of life,

o forest

i want to come to you again,
be one of your children
like i know i've been before,
like i still am today.

Sunrays peep in through imaginary windows...
The heart of the canopied forest
beats a deep throb of chlorophyllic pulse,
Invisible organisms wait in hiding,to smell my odour
The wet ground tries to take me in...dragging me deep into it.
This place always makes me blurry eyed,
Even today as tears run down my cheeks,
The sunlight refracts against them weaving for me a rainbow of psychedelic hues!
Amber memories hanging by the barks makes me weary of my thoughts...
But just then when I take a step to touch them, I hear footsteps coming behind me...
A quick run and a hide...I see him moving upto the exact spot where I had left behind my candid footmarks,
I feel a tingle when he touches them calling out to me with a cracking voice...
And yet I choose to remain in hiding, feigning oblivion much like the way the oceanic storms do in order to take down the will of the mighty ships.
If only I had sunk deep into the centre of the earth,
I would never had to be the mistress of this strangest potion of a feeling, one that just blends longing and feigning perfectly into one!
Some kind of pains are like the fires of hell
You never want to be burnt alive...
I strain my ears trying to hear him out, the farest sounds return to me amplifying a hundredfold, yet all that lingered in the air was a human silence.

Maybe he had understood my dilemma,
My resolve of not wanting to see his tender face again
The fear that once again my petrified heart would be cast away from the spell... That it would set me free...
All I wanted now was a locked space for myself and my heart.

Once out of my hiding place, I ran, stumbling, up to the place where his footsteps had frozen in a previous time.
Touching the place, I could not contain myself
It was my turn to call out to him, only but in a voiceless language!
A fictional write. Some feelings are so complex that it tries to tear apart our simple souls.
Peace💜✨

In my head there are trees of fears in the forest of doubts and they’ve been there for so long that some of them have tire swings

The trees too tall and the path so thin that I get lost in the darkness of the leafy sea that I’m sinking in

I’m suddenly lost so I do what I was told and hug a tree for some reason hoping that maybe someone else is lost here too

But I’m the end I’m alone so I’ll water this tree with my tears and hope that someone will remember me when I’m gone

But a man shows up with an ax and a smile and starts hacking away at all of the branches and parts that reach

He chops and he chops and the leaves fall like a bridal veil over the rot laden floor, caressing it’s contours like a sleeping lover

Wood creaks and moans as it succumbs to the the blade, smashing its body into the ground it never wanted to meet

The molded and frayed knots that once held the swings snap and fall like a downed falcon to its final resting place

The forest is no more, only remnants of memories of what was here with leaves and wood slashed and torn and dying

I look up and can see the man with the ax and the smile as he says he’s been looking for a girl that looked like me

My hand reaches for his as I begin to cry “I was so lost” his hand grasps mine “you’re never lost, just finding a new path”
