Although we just
Meet
My beautiful girl
I am feel like you
Have takeover
My heart mind and soul

Although we
Just meet
Sweet girl
I want to meet you
My delicate creature

Never had I been in love
Like this

I long for a woman I can't have,
She is a woman who dances in my dreams,
She is a woman I always think of,
She is a woman I want to
She is a woman I dream of making love to,
She is a woman I'd long to grow old with,
She is a woman I want to share my life,
She is a woman I'm forbidden to have,
She is the woman;I wish the State would free
She is the woman I cannot hide away with,
She is a woman that I must meet Between wire and steel
She is the woman I cannot sneak a kiss,
She is the woman listed by a coded number,
She is a woman;I pray the State will forgive,
She is a queen in the tower of our despair,
that knows how to love me,
Please oh please, Governor do let her go!
This poem is dedicated to the Texas Preacher who fell in love with a woman on death row. This poem was written in late 1997.

The rose,
Staid on the porch rail,
Was forbidden in the parlor.
First frost arrived,
Enrobing petals in velvet,
Crimson thick and skin softened,
Bewildering. Those who stroll by
Behold,
But not take ā€”

Who could handle
The scentless spectacle
Spoiling inside?

A private decay in a white blanket tomb,
A fading in a deafened hollow.
Next year the neighbor will plant
New roses to surrender.

let's travel to the tracks trains play;
love like ghosts with endless pulses
for your heart holds the haul of many loves,
remembrance is but a losing game

when I first met you
you were like
Yes
and I was like
Not happening
then
You were like
I don't care
And I was like
Why don't you
When you talked
to other girls
I was a boiling volcano
And then
I was a maybe
And you
were like
try me

and -again-
idiot me
I never did
Too scared to admit

now
I'm definitely a strong
Yes
but
You are
a fair
No
Losing chances when they're right and realising it when time moves on and so does relationships.

Dedicated to the most passionated feelings I had for someone

To taste your tears of joy
To drink lavender tea poured from your mouth
To savor your lips after you have licked them
To wrap your curls around my neck till I suffocate
To melt into the scarlet of your cheeks

This is not a love letter,
I simply long for the forbidden parts
of you
Beyond she is,
Apon her throne she sits
Stretching and clawing
Her eyes locked on prey

Her red hair,
Long and pure
Of fire and ember
Burning brighter than the sun

Her body a landscape
Each piece of skin a story
Every scar a prize,
Her eyes the height of the world

Bats protect and watch over
The queen they serve
Horrors they bring,
A pain so pleasant

Her prey grateful
Lining up to be devoured
A meaning to life
To die for beauty to live
To the one I'll never have

How can one be so inlove with a woman whom belongs to another? Love is strange afterall
Natalie Gallegos Nov 2020
your gaze. so loving.
your touch. so gentle.
your smile. so happy.
your love. so selfless.
the way you always know what iā€™m thinking.
the way you hold me tighter in the morning when you have to go.
the way we have conversations with just our eyes.
the way you rock me when we hug.
the way you love me is so right.
but so wrong
because you... are hers.
Hurt to depths
Ready to die
Deadly accused
Of all weaknesses

Sentenced to jail
In mortal body
No revival
No blessing

The Inquisitor
Sentenced me:
Soul to ashes
Heart to pieces

Worn-out heavens

God was tired
He wouldn't see me
Loving her
Again,
On the ground...
