i could sit here and tell you I'm a different person from this time last year, you probably won't believe me.
i've grown and these days have changed me more than i could explain.
almost feel at ease now more so than before but waiting on edge for life to takeoff at the same time. i observe that the fragments of blue, red, and white fire have no problem taking off and flying across the sky. hate to say that I'm still waiting for my shot in life for things to start firing up and explode in color. things still feel black and white most days but i don't care anymore.  i feel haunted by this time last year, yet excited for another year to pass.

I've been waiting for so long! It's that time of year.
The barbecue is burning, the sun is finally here.
I can hold your hand. I can smile from ear to ear. Happy to finally see you this joyful time of year.
The fireworks have started! I'm excited as can be. Until I look and notice you are not next to me.
I guess I can understand.
You have your life to live.
You make the choice.
There's not much more I can give.
I will keep on smiling even through the pain.
It's a lesson to learn something I can gain.
If I stay tough and can stick it through. Maybe one day I will find the road that leads me back to you.
And we can watch the fireworks this time next year.
The 4th of July for you

The fireworks last night
Gave me insight
To your insight
On *******.
Yeah... I should be so lucky.

I would write about love
If I knew what it was
My prince is just lost....
Its the most probable cause

I've never been held
All through the night
Or had what he says
Make me feel right

I've heard of love though;
Deep, strong and slow.
You know, the kind
That can stand against time

Or like fireworks so bright
Passion in the night
Sweet love in summer
To make your heart flutter

When you look into eyes
That can see though your soul
Or be held in the hands
That make you feel whole

Its better to have loved and lost
Than to never haved loved at all.
But I ask, what's worse?
Your heart ripped out
Or empty forever.

You are a firework,
Big, colorful, beauty, bright.

The only problem with fireworks,
Is that they always fade to soon.

don't fade away, please
Behind the pomp and circumstance
The celebrations and parades
Remember those who battled
The platoons and the brigades
Take some time to think now
Of the freedoms we possess
Of who fought the battle
Those who didn't second guess
Respect the soldiers duty
Give thanks to those who served
A handshake and a smile
Is worth a thousand words
It might be a long weekend
That many now will never see
Think of them this weekend
And give their life some dignity
Now, go and have a hotdog
Ride the float in the parade
Enjoy the fireworks exploding
Have a Happy Memorial Day

I understand it was forth of July,
Sipping whiskey watching the world fly by
But you didn't have to disappear
Like the colors at the end of the pier

Without you,
I was nothing but a tepid grey dust
I wanted nothing more than for the oxygen that I inhaled to be met with sultriness
It was in my nature
Almost how it was in your nature
To fulfill my desire to be kindled

With you,
Flames ignited the fuse
In the skies they saw the fireworks
You were the spark in disguise
You taught me just how fire works

If not now then when.
The agitation is clear as day.
I clear my throat and say,

"Someday on that special bright blue moon,
Someday when I'm done fooling around,
And finally fall for someone to swoon for"

"Once upon a time in oblivion,
From the blood rimmed wine glasses,
to the sounds of clinking in the air.
To the fireworks in my heart."
