love is supposed to be late night phone calls.
going out for dates anywhere, it didn't matter where as long as you were with them.
cuddling and movies.
kisses and laughter.
baking together when your bored.
smiled and stolen glances.
love is supposed to be soft and calm, like you were living in some sort of fairytale.
but that was not our love.
our love was yelling and screaming, just to make up for a few hours.
our love was burning skin because we couldn't keep our hands off each other, mad or happy.
our love was engraving our names into each other
our love was some sort of claim, we happily destroyed each other with passion.
our love was crying my eyes out at 2 in the morning because you left, you threatened and you'd come back.
our love was lies and truths and everything we didn't need to experience at such a young age.
you'd look at me and I'd melt in place.
our love was not soft or beautiful....
it was a wrecking ball covered in fire, destroying everything in it's path.... even us.
Our love could have burnt the whole world down, but ended up just burning us out....
I worry a lot,
And I know I need to stop,
But I can't just leave anxiety,
It's a human instinct inside of me.

I worry for your safety,
I worry for mine,
It's a cold world out there,
Without enough fire to keep us all warm.

So if you're struggling,
Please confide in me,
I worry so much for you,
For your happiness.
You cherish the things you love, it's why we become obsessed.

I live my life with a flaming heart—
a condition not of body
but of mind.

It wants to spread its fire
to every curve and every curl
I desire.

Sometimes I feel like
I’m stuck in a dark cage
With nothing for company
But a tiny, tiny flame.

It gives off
a comforting warmth.
It’s nice having company,
But still, I am torn.

I fear for the day
It’ll extinguish in a second or half.
I would feel not but sorrow,
For I do not have

A lighter, or a matchbox
To bring back its light.
What can I do,
If not, beg to keep it alight?
After the fire
On my feet
I've grown anew

Green has arrived
In my fingertips
As dust and ashes
Were slowly washed
By bottles of time and surrender

Now a bird's
Sweet notes
Carry me through
Spring
On regeneration of soul, eternal voyage
The sun descends on the horizon,
Flaming all the way to its death,
A far ways out in the ocean.

I shed a tear watching it fall,
Though, not for that great ball of fire,
Come tomorrow it will rise again.

The tears I shed are for you,
For my arms which will be empty tonight,
Always wishing you were here.

I wandered long through noctis viae — roads of night,
Where shattered stars fall, pale with fright.
The moon, a fractum speculum, weeps in vain,
Reflecting back my silent pain.

Yet ex nihilo, from void you came,
A whisper soft — a spark, a flame.
Your eyes, ignis aeterni, burned through rain,
And lit the corners of my bane.

You broke the walls of stone and thorn,
In your embrace, my soul reborn.
A caro et anima — flesh and soul aligned,
A prayer from lips the gods designed.

Where shadows bloom, you plant your name,
A rose that blossoms in my flame.
And though the winds of fate may sever,
Amor vincit omnia — love conquers ever.

Still, as dawn creeps on trembling feet,
I fear this dream may taste defeat...
But if we fade like morning's mist,
Eternity lives in one last kiss.
This poem speaks of a journey through darkness, pain, and brokenness. And the love that rises from the deep emotion and darkness pit. Latin phrases are throughout to give more weight and timelessness to the emotions.

Your fire so bright,
it takes me in.
Your warmth so tender,
it burns me within.

Heard many warnings,
still I fall.
And I’d fall again,
no regrets.

For this is where I belong.
what the 'moth' said to the 'fire flames' when it asked not to fall.
