The stars still tell me
stories about you and I'm
so glad I listened

Adrift amongst the endless cold.
Burning with embers that never grow old.
Here I sat for many years.
Slowly pulled by my neighboring peers.

Pure energy streams from my eternal fires.
Warming up from my immediate desires.
What a joy to be watching from out here.
Reaching out to all things both far and near.

My favorite game is that of tug and war.
Using my mass to lure in so much more.
In they come to fuel my wage.
A never ending, burning, cosmic rage.

Out here it is survival of the biggest.
The brightest, largest, densest, fittest.
Only these hold their weight,
In this cosmic soup of Heaven's gate.

Come join me, if you so wish.
My secrets served on this stellar milky dish.
Come to me, my traveling friend.
Knowledge I have in mass to lend.

Seek your way amongst us in your ships.
Have no fears if the hull rips.
Fear not the vastness of space.
Fear only that which leads to your own disgrace.

I wait patiently for you to come.
Empires have been born, and become undone.
Yet I know one day you shall come to visit me.
As I sit watching, waiting, isolated from thee.

You were a pile of bones.
I loved you before I met you,
blindly as one should, staring at your photo through a phone.

I didn't know, but my heart knew, as I sat nervously in the car.
Scenarios of sickness,
unfolding in my brain,
spilling out like oil.
I tried to clean up, but everything was already greasy and black--
primed for you to leave me,
before you even laid down on my lap.

Then I held you.
You felt so soft,
and gentle.
But, instead of joy,
I felt dread.
You were too calm.
You didn't wiggle, or whine.
I said "It's probably fine,"
but your body was ticking like a bomb.

I feel foolish, dear pup,
ashamed of my dreams on the way home,
of you running, and playing, and growing up.

But you did not play,
and you did not eat.
You were so tired, and woeful, and weak.
I knew when I heard
your little heartbeat,
and your raspy breath,
right next to my ear as I slept.

And the next day,
on a cold metal table,
you slipped away quietly.
I hope that you know I loved you entirely.

Aside from crying,
all I can manage to do now, is to laugh.
Because, while grasping at straws I had thought
"You can't spell Olive without the word 'live.' "
What a cruel cosmic gaffe.

there is endless magic
within the havoc
of the wounds
that dress
your knees

i hope you
kiss the scars
that they all leave

and that you believe
they pave the way
for you to reach
your wildest
dreams ♥

You are
no longer here,
but just knowing that
we share the same sky
is good enough
because those shooting stars
carry the wishes from
me to you.

Io
I still hope
that we fall asleep
on Io
tonight.

Swimming with stars, a cosmic stream
Saturn’s no longer a distant dream
Titan in one hand, the other waving to Ganymede
Ideas are rushing and fluttering
Like dandelion seeds in the wind, they’re slippering
Melodic strings then crashing drums
A chaotic orchestra, now here they come...
Melting shadowy figures from the dead
Delusions from the collapsed parts of my head
A simple reminder to stop glamorizing mania, **** can get scary dangerous real quick.

.At 2 Am,
Under the starry night
We danced to the beats of our cosmic hearts
while our love, just like those fireflies,
kept on glistening so bright
.
Well....

If the stars
were to fall with
every thought of you,
the sky would surely turn
to darkness and despair.

If the stars
were to shine with
every thought of you,
the sky would surely turn
to the heavens above.
