I let down my walls for you—
a complete stranger with sad eyes,
hunched figure, face down,
back plastered in dimly lit corners.

We held hands as we toured through galleries,
artificial sceneries, and slopes overlooking the city.
I let you sit beside me in craters other people dug up
just to see if you could fill in the spaces they left.

But you dug your own,
left me wondering how you could
claim love, promise me new planets
and then leave
just as they did.

I let down my walls for you—
even when I knew I'd risk drowning
for people whose words slowly turned into lies
once they decide to abandon ship.

I let down myself,
in hopes that maybe you wouldn't.
But you did,
the worst part was all of you did.

Now my walls aren't the only ones left crumbling
but my deteriorating furnished interiors
barely holding up the framework
of what the people I love keep tearing down.

We don’t put a label on it
Because we don’t want to fit
And commit.

We keep it fun and chill;
Nothing serious
No consequences
No future
Nothing romantic
Trying to keep it platonic.

Doesn’t it sound ironic?
Because I am frantic
About you, boy.

Trying to be ice cold
Pretending we are something,
when we’re nothing.
I am losing my mind.

You play these games
Trying to make me insecure
About all these other girls.

So I play along
Because it’s love,
Maybe not long lasting
But real.

But we’re just spiraling
No end; not infinite
I guess I can not pretend
For I don’t want to be this type of girl.

I want to us to burn;
Our hearts to yearn
Our souls to learn.

I want attachment,
Security and stability.
I want it to be long lasting
And not a temporary fling

My dear old friend
who wants to come home
to find new old things
to come home to

You will find that home is within you

When you need a hand,
a warmth,
an embrace,
the dusk will settle in on us
we will find
comfort,
loving,
kindness,
and we will find
there will be no need
to come
find each other

The dust settles as I lay
my head
on the pillow
I remember
and tomorrow
I forget.

Will you be my gravity?
Tie me to reality
As I melt in magnanimity
Sink into serenity
Lost in this swaying sea
Of beautiful banality
Vivid colors seem to fade
When you share your sacred shade

All I feel and all I need
Entranced by you yet finally freed
Mooring me to something more
I dance my way across the floor
Drawn to you, my gravity
The source of electricity
Comfort, warmth, elasticity
We dance in rolling ecstasy

Love lifts me off the ground
But you always bring me back down
My heart in your hands and my head in the clouds
Thank you for making my world spin ‘round

You ripped the door off:
The electro-magnetic attachment
Was no match for your frustration,
Which goes to show,
You cannot guard against
A young man's anguish
Manifested as rage,
A judged and stigmatised rage,
Born of poor attachment:
An open door that was never closed.

May be
You are right

It will start
Under
A pale moon light
To the new rhythm
Of the same old beats

There is a time
When
Nerves get amused

Then after

[What do you want to be?]

I want to be SOMEONE

That someone
You can call anytime
That someone
You find comfort to text
That someone
You share your dreams
That someone
You save the time
That someone
You believe in love
That someone
You never give up
That someone
Whom you call a home

For you
I want to be SOMEONE
The one who holds
These all

For others
Being SOMEONE
I want to be an EXAMPLE
