Face it,
I'm a follow up.
To use all this time and quickly cast aside?
Honey, I'm not so simple to avoid.
I'll make sure
to close up for you one day.
Ever wondered what the silent e in your life was thinking?

These days
I am too cold
My palms are at rest
Down for the long winter
My coordination and
dexterity will hibernate
And I'll cloak this poor body
With anything I can

An almost married woman
Clings to the hems of my sleeves
With thin fingers
With scissors
There to cut away the warm wool
With wild eyes
and a bitter mouth

She gathers my coat in a basket
Unravels all the careworn fibers
To cast upon her empty loom
As though she'd spun them

Casts off newly sewn kisses
Threadbare affection
Muttering crossly about the weather
And how the sun
does not melt the snow

She is only my friend when
She can touch my bare wrists
Give me white hot iron to hold
And ask me if I'm warmer

Only my friend when
She can graze my skin in surprise
Wrap my hands up with stiff yarn
And ask me what burned them

I am my tears.
And i am my sweat
I am my pain and i am my regret

But i'm also the choice to say no to it all
To the hurt you have caused me and the choice not to fall.
Because had i had known you would treat me like this,
disgusted and guilty but worthy to kiss,
i would never have touched you or spoken your name,
sat by the fire and feel your love flame,
because you are a simple man
and you have simple desires,
you want what you don't have

and will do all that requires,

and once you have reached that.

The goal that you seek,

you look on to the next thing that looks bright and unique.

What a world have we left behind?
Peace, prosperity, and security belong to people who lived ages and ages ago
We are left to work this dreary landscape
To sow our seeds in salt laden fields
We wander this world blind and deaf
And we see and hear none of the sufferings that plague the misfortunate
Yet we cling to our silence
But what do we have to fear?
We will all reach the golden gates of heaven
Not one of us can escape it’s pull
What do we have to fear?
Rise up my friends, and my enemies
Lift this shroud that covers our eyes and hides us from the true nature of the world
Peer into the shadows to see the oppressed
Help lift them from the ashes of their former lives
Take arms against the men with vile intentions
For words will not please their iron hearts
This is a war we must fight
We owe it to everyone we left waiting all those years ago
We are the brave and the courageous
And we will fight for those who need fighting for
for my eighth grade holocaust commission project. Needless to say, it didn't win.

Confrontational,
dude’s really quite sensational,
but there’s very little matter
found inside his dome.
Confrontational—
it’s the opposite of beautiful.
Then again, he never worries
about whether he’s attractive.
Confrontational—
really not that calculable;
however, he always seems to
tip his very ****** hand.
Confrontational—
not quite the same as sensible,
but he is usually the one that
tends to buck the norm.
Confrontational,
doesn’t think that he is beatable;
nevertheless, he who hands him his
lunch has other things in store.
Confrontational—
it’s the converse of lovable,
yet some tend to insist that this
is his fancy way of flirting.

Allow yourself my darling,
To take my hand gleefully,
As we dance while skating,
Watch each other lovingly,
Immersed in love we gaze,
Never forgetting to breathe,
Skates piercing through ice,
Oh the heart shaped carving,
It becomes more pronounced,
And we know it will fade away.

But this love we'll feel together,
Always, forever & forevermore,
You just long for my embrace,
Trust me dear because so do I,
I am you & even you are me,
Staying rigidly in each other,
Because it is but of course we,
Both these worlds are warned,
We are not going to stay apart,
We break all the societal walls.

Roses are red
Violates are blue
If I had a brick

Stand up for what?
To collapse back down
my ankles turn to water
whenever you're around
I can't stand up
when i don't know what i stand for
like my brain is in the clouds
but my heart is on the **** floor
or a platform
my face is in a sandstorm
and i can't form words
with my lips between your teeth
our bodies now declare war
and my throat begets a siren
that your backbones can't ignore
your shoulders hold me down
while i beg for
just
a
little
bit

hostile,
and aggressive,
maybe you are
perfect for me,
darling.
